My Week in Review for October 12, 2024

This year on Hive has been an interesting journey. I've managed to grow my account in ways I really wouldn't have though possible just a year ago. Much of this growth is thanks to all of you here on Hive who have kindly supported me. I also credit part to joining Saturday Savers community, who have helped me focus on my goals and to achieve them.

This has been an exciting week for me. I finally achieved my goal of 5,000 HP which was the goal for the year. The best part is it was done organically. The way I see it if I'm able to do this is less than two years pretty much anyone can. All it takes is dedication and some hard work as you learn to improve your writing, which has been a challenge for me! Little by little things do improve!

Let's jump into the numbers for this last week...

Hive Power

I had a good week yet again in regards to Hive Power, but then again I have been posting regularly which probably didn't hurt... As of this morning I have conquered the 5K mountain, and now have 5,046 HP!

This accomplishment has felt great, and now time to grow that HP even more!

DUO

OK, time for some blatant self promotion, but I am really proud of this project! DUO is a token that I created with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman several months back now. Our goal was to create a token that could build up enough Hive Power to assist in onboarding and retaining new Hive members. Our hope is that the curations we can offer will help encourage them so that they can grow into successful Hive bloggers. We are still very early in the project but have already managed to accumulate almost 22,000 HP thanks to our investors.

DUO token holders receive some great benefits. Once you have 200 staked tokens you can receive a daily curation on your quality posts and receive daily Hive dividends. Once you stake more than 500 DUO you also can use the DUO tip call to tip someone with some DUO, and in return you get the same amount of DUO in your account. It pays to tip others with DUO!

I currently have over 1,000 of these and will be continuing to purchase them. Once this tranche of tokens sells out the price will jump from one Hive to 1.5 Hive each. My advice is to buy in early while they are less expensive! Plus you will make money as soon as this batch sells out due to the price increase!

PIMP

My secondary goal of the year was to accumulate 50K PIMP tokens. I currently have 30,220 PIMP, so I am about 20K shy of the finish line. This one does have me a little worried because the prices jumped on me, but I'll see if I can buckle down and make some smart buys. I may be able to make it to the three PIMP tips a day yet!

Leo

This one was an along the way middle of the river goal addition. I want to have 1,500 staked LEO by the end of the year. I'm trying to earn it exclusively from posting, organically if you will. I currently have 1,177 total tokens, so I am headed in the right direction. With any luck I will be able to complete this goal yet.

One of the nice things about having more than 1K LEO is you can receive stake based curations depending on how much you have staked. I will never say no to a nice curation...

HSBI

My goal for this year was to hit 2,000 HSBI which has long since come and gone. I'm now on course to be over 3,000 HSBI and currently have 2,910 units.

I'm up 44 units on the week, hard to believe just over a year ago I only had eleven! Dedication and hard work do pay off with HSBI! Now I'll jump into a little more about the program which I do tweak here and there but doesn't change a whole lot.

Now for those out there who aren't familiar with HSBI or how it works I have some info and resources that can help you out. I also run a contest every week where you can win HSBI or some DUO tokens. Last year when I started to look at HSBI more seriously I had a grand total of eleven units. I decided to invest more in the program by adding a daily re-blog lottery to my posts. It really made my numbers grow. Eventually, I became tired of the daily extra work and so I switched the giveaway to a weekly event. I also started to sponsor other weekly events and continue to do so every week. SIM

I keep wanting to increase my stake here, but things always seem to come up.... I still hold just over one million but I want to buy up to two million to increase the daily Hive dividends. That is the beauty of this token is that every day you get some liquid Hive deposited in your account. If you don't own some it's one worth checking out!

Other Tokens

No big changes here, I am continuing to collect DBOND and DAB. I have both my DBONDs and DABs staked, so the staked DBOND produces more DAB, and the staked DAB produces more DBOND. So they are slowly growing. EDS I'm just continuing to hold just about 100 and don't foresee any big changes any time soon.

Silver

It was a rough week for Silver as there was a bit of a pull back. But you will notice there's already been a rebound. I think silver is just getting warmed up for a nice push up towards new all time highs. All the instability in the world will continue to push people into buying and holding precious metals. Each week I like to feature some new silver products so you can see it's not always about buying coins. Silver can be in the form of art, or even in the form of paper bills. Welcome to the Silverback! Each contains 1/1000th an ounce of 0.999 pure silver. These are very hot items but there is a bit of a premium. I have seen prices north of six dollars today, but they are a very cool way to collect wealth in the form of silver!

Wow, your growth on Hive is very inspiring, congratulations on the goals you've reach and I believe in you that you'll reach the ones you're yet to hit.

My goal was to hit 3k Hp this year, but I'm amazed I'm 200Hp away from hitting the 4K Hp. Dedication pays off every time.

I am very happy with your growth plan, and the best of all is that you reached your goal of 5000 hp and something more, I was on that roof some time ago, but for family emergency reasons I had to give up, and I am currently in another of those emergencies, sometimes the conditions or the country where we live can change our finances.

As for the tokens I have several, but currently I am growing my account with BBH, Hueso and LEO tokens.

By the way, today I hit the ceiling of 6000 BBH and I can deliver 5 tips per day, and you are the first one, to receive my first BBH shipment.

I understand those emergencies, even here they can happen but even more so where you live! Congrats on building up !BBH It's a solid token as well, I bought 50K of them sometime back when they were pretty cheap, so I have 50 tips a day, I have never used even close to that many though!

Time to rebuild those stockpiles of Hive, it took a lot of work to make it to 5K!

Congrats on reaching 5k HP that is a really nice stake already.
On the LEO side you will probably have to buy it. Shouldn't be a problem with the $HBD you make from posts. Price is good. $LEO

Depends where you live, here in the states most metal dealers sell them. Other parts of the world can be tricky. @summertooth did a big buy of goldbacks recently and sent them off internationally to our silver gold stacker buddies living outside the US.

That would have been an awesome job! It's a lot of fun to learn, and we have several members who are relatively new and learning themselves. I've been collecting since I was a kid and I still learn new things all the time!

I'm a little biased since I helped create DUO, so it's my favorite! I like PIMP because it's backed by physical silver.

No I really haven't. But Witty has been a good friend so I support his project. Silver well do really well, as will gold, in the very near future. Costco can't even keep one ounce gold bars in stock because they sell out so fast!
