It has been a month now since I've done an update post on my progress with the game Stake House Den. I didn't realize it had been that long, so today's post will remedy the situation. Stake House Den is a fun casino style game that is part of the Arcade Colony family of games which includes Splinterlands and Moon Karts. By playing you can win Colony which is the principal token of Arcade Colony.

I initially decided to start playing the game because I have always enjoyed casino gaming. It gives me a chance to play some great casino games like Black Jack, Roulette, and Slots without the need to bet real money. Yes, you can earn money in the game as it is a play to earn model, but I'm playing more for the fun than the financial angle.

This is my first post about Stake House Den since they did an update on their page format. I like the new look, much cleaner than the old version.

A new feature available is a daily login bonus of some extra Hot Sauce. Hot Sauce is the in game currency used to place bets in the casino games, so it is very important. When I first tried out this new feature it erased all of my unclaimed Hot Sauce which was a concern. I mentioned in to @libertycrypto27 and he verified the problem and reported it. They had it fixed in just a few hours time which is a pretty good turn around time! So make sure to login daily to get free Hot Sauce!

Today I decided to open up two more Lady Luck card packs to see if I couldn't increase my Hot Sauce production. These packs give you casino card style NFT's of different rarity which can be combined and staked to produce Hot Sauce. The cards can also be sold on the market place for actual money, so they have cash value. The market place is still pretty slow, hopefully with time it will get better!

As always, I used Legendary and Gold Flux for each one, since each pack has five cards and you need one for each, I needed ten of each. These can be bought on the Arcade Colony home page along with Lady Luck packs. They increase the probability of pulling either a legendary or gold foil card.

When I saw the results today, I can't say that I wasn't disappointed. Not a single gold foil or legendary card was pulled... I believe this is the first time I've had that happen, so I have been a bit spoiled so far!

However, then it dawned on me that with the Ace of Clubs it gave me four of them in total, which is enough to level up the card through merging. So not a total loss! Epic cards only require four to do this, and Aces are epic! This increases it's Hot Sauce production potential. To see the tables of merging requirements check the link here.

So I clicked on a copy and merged the four together.

And the result is a level 2 as seen very sloppily circled in yellow!

And now it has a Hot Sauce production potential of 12, up from only two at level one. This maximized my Hot Sauce production, so it's wise to merge cards whenever you can! There is a guide to Hot Sauce production potential by foil depending on the cards rarity here.

I then proceeded to stake this card to produce more Hot Sauce in the fridge. I then realized that I needed to stake some more Script to make this work. You can see I circled the staked Script showing up in red meaning it must be fixed! I had intended to just unstake another card but ran into a bug, it wouldn't let me unstake any cards in the fridge. I reported the bug and I'm sure it will be remedied before I even post this for today!

I proceeded to Arcade Colony and staked two additional Script.

That fixed the problem and I am again maximizing my Hot Sauce production!

Black Jack

Time for some game play! In the past I have played some roulette and slots but found the most reliable way to win is Black Jack.

Here's an older one I played a few days back betting 1000 Hot Sauce:

It didn't start well with an up card total of 5 against the dealer's 4. So I hit twice to come up with 20, not too shabby!

And the dealer only came up with 19, and I won 12.72 Colony. These higher bets pay off much better for certain!

On this hand I bet 500 Hot Sauce to try and maximize returns on my bets, but also to demonstrate the the decrease in winnings vs the 1000 Hot Sauce bet.

Here I came up with a soft 14 against an up card of 5. Soft referring to the Ace having a value of either 1 or 11. In this scenario it's wiser to hit to try and end up closer to 21, and even with a face card you still would be in pretty good shape. Of course I hit a 9...

But that 9 was still good enough to give me 13, against an up card of 5. I decided to let the dealer take the risk of busting and in this case it pays off nicely!

The payout was 5.71 Colony which is less than half the amount I won on the bet at 1000. Moral of the story being, save up that Hot Sauce and only play when you have a very large amount to play to maximize your winnings!

Of course you can't win them all... As seen below. Dealer up card was a Jack or 10 against my measly 5.

One hit gave me 15 which is still weak against a face card, so I hit again and bust...

When I cashed out today I didn't earn that well, but I only had some 1300 Hot Sauce to play. When you have 4000 Hot Sauce saved up you can make some bigger bets!

And the leaderboard today, I'm still at lucky number 7!

Conclusions and lessons learned on the day:

I need to increase my staked Colony to increase my winnings multiplier. I also proved to myself that it only makes sense to save up to my maximum Hot Sauce before playing to earn the most Colony possible. Larger bets pay much better, a bet of 10 Hot Sauce pays next to nothing, whereas at 1000 Hot Sauce you are actually earning some real Colony.

I also need to increase my fridge capacity so I can save up a lot more Hot Sauce between gaming sessions. Right now I'm capped at 4000, the next upgrade level will give me 27,250 as a cap. However, it costs 25 Script to upgrade. Right now that runs about 38 Hive, so that will be down the road before I make the upgrade.

That will wrap up my post for today. I hope you enjoyed learning a little more about Stake House Den. Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below, and thank you so much for all of your support. Have a great day everyone!

dCity is a disappointment, far too many project on Hive are just dying...

Black Jack is easy to learn, or there is always the slot machines or roulette!

So far it's pretty fun, not many players as of yet. But I'm sure that will improve over time. Glad to be of service!

I had forgotten about Stake House Den until I saw this yesterday. Then I saw the daily login for hot sauce thing. Now that dcity is getting canned I might put any money I get from that into this. Great progress and you are right up there on the leaderboard!

dCity really is a disappointment. The way they did it was the worst part! I'm not putting a whole lot of money into this game itself, maybe a few bucks here and there. To expand my fridge will be expensive though at 25 Script, and then I would need to buy a bunch more packs to get more cards to produce more Hot Sauce. It can get expensive if you go all in, but after Splinterlands, I'm hesitant to bet a whole lot on these games. Plus, I decided from day one that this one was just for fun, not to worry about the profits! lol
