Hive Power Up Day & Saturday Savers

Somehow the first day of March is already here. I'm glad I looked at the calendar or I might have missed the fact that it's Hive Power Up Day once again. Usually I always power up at least ten Hive, so my knee jerk reflex was to do the same this morning. Then I proceeded to look at my total HP and realized I was really close to breaking through the 7K marker. So I did another power up of 15.4 Hive to push me over the threshold and I now have over 7,000 Hive Power! It feels great!

It's also Saturday which means I also will be completing my weekly Saturday Savers post. I joined the community last year to help focus on achieving my goals here on Hive. Since then I have noticed a significant difference in the rate of my account growth. I recommend the club to everyone who is serious about increasing growing their account.

Also, they do hand out some prizes every week to help participants along. This week I got very lucky and received on EDSI token and one EDSMM token. Thank you to @shanibeer and @eddie-earner ! That was very kind of you guys!

Now let's jump into part two of my post today, #saturdaysavers .

Hive Power

My primary goal this year is to reach a total Hive Power of 10,000, at the time I thought it should be relatively easy. With higher Hive prices it's become a little more difficult, but it can be done! I have increased my HP by 107 this week and currently have 7,000 staked Hive Power. I'll likely need to convert more HBD to Hive this year to get myself closer to that 10K line. I did have bit of a rough week health wise that slowed me down and missed a couple of posting days, but I'm back in the saddle again!

Currently I am 70% of the way there, it sure feels great to pierce through that 7K level! Now onto to 8K!

PIMP

This year my secondary goal is to reach 50K staked PIMP. I almost bought up a chunk this week when another opportunity was too good to pass up, so I didn't buy PIMP this week. I still had growth from tips and earnings from my posts. As of this morning I have 36,218 PIMP, I am at 72% of the final goal. I want to buy my way up to 50K sooner than later, so I may make a large push in the coming weeks!

This is the only token that is backed by physical silver here on Hive, and backed by Bitcoin as well. Both are items I love to see backing the project, that way you know that PIMP will always have value!

CCD

This week I'm adding in a new entry. I have held some CCD for sometime now, but only around 100K. As of yesterday I increased that stake up to 500K. Crypto Company is run by @powerpaul who is a really cool and dedicated Hive enthusiast. He has one game which is already active here on Hive called BroBang, it's a play to earn where you can win LGN, Hive, and CCD token. You can also receive curations for holding and burning tokens. You can get free CCD by delegating HP to the project or providing liquidity in the liquidity pools. A new initiative will be released this next week and I had the chance to give it a test drive a few days back. I'm sworn to secrecy on this one still, but you will notice that I increased my stake pretty significantly. That might tell you something!

GIFU

GIFU is still one my list and I'm continuing to increase my holdings of the token. I went from 60K last week to 102,361 this past week. It's a deflationary token that exists one the Binance Chain and as SWAP.GIFU here on Hive Engine. It's still relatively cheap and I expect it will slowly get more expensive as more tokens are burned on a regular basis. A couple other fun notes, it does offer curations if you hold over 50K and a tipping bot at one million. I'm still pretty far from the tipping bot though. I will be slowly getting my way up there though, because I love tipping bots! And I might actually make some money down the road!

EDSI

My goal this year is to reach 200 EDSI, I picked up none this week but I have a buy order in and waiting for it to be filled. I have just over 113 right now, so 56.5% completed in the goal. If I pick up a few a week I should make it to the goal relatively easily. I did get lucky and get the one free ESDI and the miner EDSMM which I promptly staked to earn mined EDSI!

This is a very safe investment in my opinion. It offers weekly Hive dividends and curations on your posts which is a nice bonus.

DUO

Time to shill my favorite token of them all, DUO! I am a bit biased as I'm part of the team that created the token. Along with @bitcoinman and @bulliontools we created DUO to fill a need we saw here on Hive. The goal is to stack up enough Hive Power to delegate a portion to help onboard and retain new quality members that are here to build accounts on Hive.

Our investors receive the most benefits from the token in the form of daily Hive dividends and daily curations on your quality content. 90% off all HP earned from curation is paid to the those who stake 200 or more tokens in the form of daily dividends and curations. The remaining 10% is locked into permanent Hive Power. All revenue from token sales is permanently powered up, and will never be powered down. We currently have 37,234 HP in the curation account, and it builds daily with curation profits and sales of tokens.

At 500 staked DUO you also can use the tipping bot allowing you to share DUO with quality posts, in return you receive the same amount staked in your account as well. It's a great perk that really adds up over time. I have 33.2 total DUO staked that came from tips alone, and that's not an insignificant number!

Now some of you who keep track of the DUO rich list you will note that all my liquid DUO is suddenly gone. No I didn't sell, I simply moved it to a holding account. After all of the hacks I've heard about lately I decided that keeping all my eggs in one basket probably isn't smart. I am continuing to increase my DUO stack bit by bit every week!

CAV

This token was created to help veterans of combat here on Hive and off in the real world as well. It doesn't matter what country you served in, just that you served. As a veteran at times things are difficult and mental scars can be as bad or worse than the physical ones. I've been planning to pick up one or two tokens a week, not earthshattering, but the sell order must have run out as none were for sale today. Once they are back up for sale I'll pick up a couple more, so I'm still at 11 total for now!

DBOND and DAB

I'm still holding onto my DBOND and DAB tokens. It was started from the same minds that brought us EDSI, so there is a solid record of success. Staked DBOND tokens pay out DAB tokens, which you can stake to get paid out more DBOND tokens. Alternatively, you can leave DAB unstaked to receive liquid Hive instead. My current DBOND balance is 277 and DAB balance is 55. Slow but steady growth, I'll take that any day!

POB

Proof of Brain token is one that I earn from posting. I am staking and then delegating them to pob.voter. In return once a week I receive a liquid Hive dividend from them, which is always a good thing. I currently have delegated out 1,389 POB tokens. I'll continue with this because it's basically free to obtain the tokens and free Hive once a week. A win/win situation.

However, if you're looking for immediate huge gains this one isn't for you. My Hive dividend this week was 0.036 Hive, but since the tokens come free it's free Hive. As they say, never look a gift horse in the mouth...

Silver

Silver took a bit of a beating when the overall markets collapsed this week along with crypto. With so much uncertainty going on in the world it's likely to see some price improvement in the short and long term along with gold. I've seen many "experts" claiming that silver and gold are undervalued and price increases are inevitable. Of course you note the parenthesis, many experts aren't experts at all except in what they happen to create in their mind at any given moment... I think the future is bright for those who are stacking silver and gold as they will always have value!

This is a really cool coin! It's made of pure silver and ten Troy ounces of it... The image on the reverse is beautiful, something you expect the Perth Mint to produce. Only 888 will be produced making it a very rare item. Unfortunately the price tag is a little higher than I have in my budget right now at $479. This is one of those coins that will go up value pretty quickly with such a small number produced!! If you can afford it, it's likely a wise investment in my eyes. But remember, I'm not a financial adviser!
