Bitcoin May Be Down Again, But Some Solid Gold Bitcoin Would Cheer Me Up! Silver Gold Stackers Twelve Days of Christmas Day 8, and Some Rocking 90's Tunes, Well Mostly!

These last couple weeks have been rough on all of us cryptocurrency lovers. Bitcoin continues to drop more and more almost on a daily basis. Those Bitcoin Blues just aren't going away... Then Hive decided to join in on the fun for a dip down into the $0.09 range briefly. It's like riding a very bad rollercoaster! I'll give you my take on the charts in just a bit, but first something to cheer me up!

Gold has had a phenomenal year as the markets all are showing weakness and the world instability. Not to mention overall shortages in supplies. The Silver Gold Stackers Community has a fun event that we do each year where you choose out items you would like to receive from Santa, the Twelve Days of Christmas. Today I'm at day 8, and a one Troy ounce solid Bitcoin round would be just my speed. I have a silver one, but I've never gotten a hold of one in solid gold!

From APMEX.com

These are produced by Bitpay in partnership with APMEX, and they sell out pretty fast every time they make them. They also don't come up for sale all that often on eBay, at least not the real ones. You can find lots of gold plated junk there though! So this is high on my Christmas list although much more expensive than silver, it is a solid collectible that will retain it's value and tend to sell for nice premiums on the secondary market. A brand new one right now is $4,202 on pre-order, but my finances aren't that rich at the moment. Thus on the wish list it goes...

But isn't that a nice item? Even when BTC goes down the solid gold can cheer you up! I must be turning into Scrooge McDuck...

Bitcoin is having some rough times still and I fear it may be headed for $80K before too much longer. We are officially in the crypto winter, and it is most certainly one of discontent. If you look at the volume on the bottom right it has been going down over the last while which could be a bad sign as less buyers may be picking up what's offered for sale.

From coingecko.com

Eventually things will turn around and we will see new highs even up to $200K or more, but it might be a long while before that day comes. No one has seen a cycle like this one before, which makes the future a big unknown for all of us.

Hive is trying to claw it's way back up, which makes us all happy I'm sure. I sure miss sixty cent Hive though, the good old days earlier this year...

From coingecko.com

Where do we go from here? If BTC drops to much we may go below ten cents or even lower. I'm hoping for the best, but not much we can do at the moment but hope for the best. Although, more rough waters may be just around the corner.

As it is Friday, I do like to share some great rock n' roll from the 1990's. Back about a year ago @geneeverett started up an event called #ninetiesfriday or #fourtunefriday later on. No prizes on the table, but just a fun opportunity to share some material from the 90's. So here we go with some good stuff on I heard driving in the car this week. Plus a song shared by @qwerrie in his Three Tune Tuesday, because it's a cool song!

Godsmack

Formed in 1995 in Lawrence, Massachusetts (I have no idea where that is) these guys broke into the mainstream rock scene in 1997 with their debut album All Wound Up... One of the biggest songs off the album was "Voodoo":

Nirvana

This legendary Seattle band formed in 1987 and picked up drummer Dave Grohl in 1990 in time for their second album, Nevermind, that changed the rock music scene around the world. It you haven't ever listened to it straight through, it's a good listen. I picked a fun one off of there today, one of the slow then fast style songs that Kurt Cobain mastered so well, this is "Lithium":

Garbage

Formed in 1993 in Madison, Wisconsin, their debut album in 1995 shot them right into mainstream music fame. Their debut was self-titled and the song "Stupid Girl" won them a Grammy Award, and it was a huge seller going multi-platinum. So here's the song that got them going, "Stupid Girl":

Juanes

Ok, we are escaping into the 2000's here, but I like his music. He's a Colombian singer who was in heavy metal for many long years. Once he realized that they weren't getting popularity outside of the country, he broke up the band and changed genre. It paid off making him one of the biggest Latin American singers around. This song is really good, although the video kind of bizarre. Thanks @qwerrie for reminding me of it, "La Camisa Negra" (The Black Shirt):

That will do it for this Friday, I hope you enjoyed it. I really would love to get one of those solid one Troy ounce Bitcoin rounds for Christmas, what a nice item. Let's cross our fingers the crypto markets warm up a little and treat us better in the near future and maybe give us a Happy New Year! And I hope you enjoyed the music as well. Kind of a random mix of a post today, but it was fun to put together!

Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below, and as always thank you so much for all of your support. Have a great weekend everyone!

Voodoo is one of my favorite songs from Godsmack. I actually kind of lost track of them after the first album or two. I couldn't even tell you if they are still together doing their thing... I have one of those BTC pieces in silver. I think I bought it thinking I was going to give it to my nephew, but I liked it so much I held onto it for myself. I have an LTC one too.

They are really cool, I would love one in gold too. Maybe someday, but not with gold prices and my finances right now! lol

Some new music for me to listen to. I sort of recognise Godsmack but not sure... time to explore at 2.14 in the morning 🤣
