Another Female Inspired Three Tune Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope the week is treating you well so far, it's not been too bad over here. The weather has been great and really makes me appreciate why I moved to southern California in the first place. Now if only the gasoline and electricity prices weren't so high... That's a different story!

In case you haven't guessed yet, it's Tuesday once again and I'll be sharing another Three Tune Tuesday. I guess I couldn't get the female led bands out of my system last week, so today there are a few more. Let's dive in!

Joan Jett

Last week I shared her as a bonus, but today she leads off the day. After The Runaways parted ways Joan Jett launched a very successful solo career. In 1979 she released her first solo album before forming Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Throughout the 80's she had a string of hits, and in 1989 she did a great cover. This song is a classic by AC/DC called "Dirty Deeds". She really looks amazing in this video!

Blondie

This one isn't nearly as hard rock, but it is a classic song from 1979. Debbie Harry and Blondie took the world by storm in the late 1970's. Formed in 1974 in New York City they were a leader in the new wave and post punk movements. This is one of their great songs, "Dreaming":

The Pretty Reckless

This band formed in 2009 featuring lead singer Taylor Momsen. If the name sounds familiar she used to be an actress, and was Cindy Lu Hu in Jim Carey's "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" from 2000. She decided she was a musician at heart and formed the band. This is called "Follow Me Down" released in 2014.

We are just slightly cheaper in gasoline and electric than you in California!🙄
Always makes me wonder why gasoline is so expensive in Washington since we have at least two oil refineries in our town!😳

First two of course I love .. but not heard of The Pretty Reckless before and pretty good it is too. I would never have guessed who she was.

Blondie ... (This one is nowhere near as hard rock,) But I like how the band sounds in general and if I had to choose, I like the sound of the electric guitar, maybe I'd lean towards this one since I'm a man who likes to dance and softer rhythms, as they say, one tile for me and another for my partner.

I like the pretty reckless. I just discovered them a little bit ago. It's too bad Ozzy had to go and pass after everyone already had their posts written for the day huh?
