Halloween is slowly sneaking up on us once again. So today I thought it might be fun to start using some more spooky elements in my headers for my Tuesday posts. The one above came out on my first set of prompts, not too bad for the first try! Being Tuesday I will be sharing another Three Tune Tuesday, which I'm sure you figured out by the the header alone...

But first off I want to say thank you to @ablaze for starting and continuing to sponsor this fun weekly event where you can share three songs that you enjoy. One lucky participant will win some HSBI units, you can't have too many of those! So if you don't already participate feel free to jump in, just use the tag #ttt or #threetunetuesday and it's never a bad idea to do a shoutout to @ablaze .

Let's jump into some fun music for today. Since Halloween is close I have to use some classics, I've always loved the holiday!

The Ramones

This legendary punk band came out of New York City in 1974. They were one of the most important influences on the punk music movement around the world in the 1970's and 1980's. Sadly, all four of the original members of the band have all passed away as of 2014, but their music lives on. This classic song was written for the film by the same name, "Pet Cemetery":

Talking Heads

Formed in 1975, again in New York City, this bank led the new wave movement in the late 1970's. David Byrne as front man has a very distinct voice that's hard to forget. One of their early songs from 1977 that catapulted them to fame was "Psycho Killer", that Byrne reported used the legendary Alice Cooper (up next) as inspiration to write the song. It is a classic masterwork describing the anxiety of life. Here's "Psycho Killer":

"Psycho Killer"

Alice Cooper

Originating in 1964 in Phoenix, Arizona as a band, the lead singer soon took on the stage name and has been using it ever since. Known for stage theatrics, his shows are as much magic shows as they rock concerts. He never fails to deliver a great performance for his fans. In a career spanning decades he has produced many hit records and worked with some the best musical acts around. He is a true master of Halloween, and no Halloween themed post would be complete without at least some Alice Cooper. So here's "I Love the Dead":

That will wrap up this Three Tune Tuesday, but I will be back next week with the real Halloween edition as the holiday is next Friday. Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below, and I greatly appreciate all of your support and friendship. Have a great day everyone!

Nice themed music for the upcoming Halloween. I remember listening to Alice Cooper for the first time. I thought some of his songs were much newer than what they were. His music spanded so long!
