Movie Review - Thunderbolts (2025)
Before settling in to watch a new movie, I sometimes read some reviews about it so that I will be sure if it is a movie I am willing to watch, and when I watch it, I will be able to get entertained instead of being bored. So yesterday I got a movie recommendation from a friend who told me to download a new movie that was just released, and when I checked the link, I saw a movie called Thunderbolts. Immediately I saw this movie, I went straight to check some reviews about it, and I noticed that it's going to be a lovely movie, so I decided to download it and see what the movie got.
Thunderbolts is a new 2025 American superhero film that was directed by Jake Schreier and also produced by Marvel Studios. Just like we know Marvel Studios is known for creating lots of action-adventure movies, which are mostly interesting to watch, and trust me, whenever I see a movie done by Marvel Studios, I am always marvelled to watch them because I know I will get much entertainment from it. Thunderbolts happens to be the 36th film in the Marvel Cinematic World.
Thunderbolts talks about the story of some antiheroes (Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster, and John Walker) who were trapped in a place where they went for a mission, and they had no choice but to work together to ensure they fight against their boss, who has sent them on a deadly errand. They now had no choice but to come together and go on a deadly mission that might bring their past into their present.
This movie is an action movie and also an adventure movie. Whatever action is in this movie, an adventure is on the top side because the movie feels so entertaining right from the start. Also, talking about cinematography, I would say I love most of the graphics and the effects used in the movie because it feels so amazing to see some kind of advanced technology work. Besides, the soundtrack and music were very nice, and they were also complementing the movie.
This movie wouldn't have been so fun to watch without the help of some incredible people who put in their efforts to make this worth watching. Some breathtaking actors like Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Lewis Pullman as Robert Reynolds, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr, Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov, and so on.
What works in this movie
- The movie is an intriguing one to watch.
- It's full of suspense and action.
- The movie has good CGI with a good viewing experience.
What doesn't work
- There were some scenes with acting, which is not true.
- Some parts were fictional.
- It felt predictable at some point.
Rating: I would love to rate this movie 8 out of 10, despite the flaws.
In the overall overview of this movie, it can be said that this movie is a must-watch for those that love action and adventure movies. Aside from the movie being an interesting one that will get you so entertained, you will also learn some skills that you can apply in your daily life there. Lots of good action moments where you feel you were directly acting in the movie with the actors. But then, it's a must-see, and I would recommend it to people to watch.

I’ve seen Thunderbolts (2025) and honestly, I enjoyed every bit of it. The action was intense, and seeing all those antiheroes team up was really exciting. The visuals were great too. Marvel did a solid job with this one.
Yeah actually. I was not expecting it to turn out that way at all. They really got me entertained
