Movie Review: Koleoso Part 6 (Rise of the Esteemed)
Koleoso Part 6 is a movie that has been trending for so long, and a lot of people would wonder how this movie has been done for so long and is still trending. This movie builds a lot of momentum in the heart of every audience that will watch this movie because there is no dull moment. This version of this movie is the 6th version of the Yoruba nollywood movie that is a series, and it's titled Koleoso. In layman's language, this means that we have added a prestige, or, simply put, the esteemed one. This is also a YouTube name in Nigerian because of the culture practice.

This movie was directed by Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele the Icon. This is also the continuation of the past, the saga of Koleoso’s battle against the Aroni Initiates. These people are the power people that were strengthened by the deities. I love this movie because of the supernatural powers that were used in the movie. Actually, I didn't watch it from season one. And I only started from season 5 and now 6. This is very lovely with the help of great actors like Ibrahim Yekini, Kevin Ikeduba, Akinfolarin Olamide, Kemi Apesin, and many more.
This movie has a very strong intensity that I was so carried away and engrossed in the movie while I was watching. Right from the start, I was never interested in watching it because I am not really a fan of Yoruba movies, and I do hear people complain about the movie. But when I saw the sixth edition of this movie, I decided to see it myself. The director of this movie tried so much to ensure that this movie continues with the pace it has been having since the first, and if you truly know him, you will know he is full of lots of action that can interest the audience. This movie is an action, comedy, drama, and entertaining movie.
The cinematography is so top-notch because it shows the real aesthetic of the Yoruba culture, and also the lighting also soothe the moment when it was really needed. The sound effect was cool, and every beat creates curious moments as it is needed. I love the fact that it was not much of a cinematic experience but normal for a movie like that.
What I like about the movie.
- The movie is very entertaining. From Koleoso to his friends and how they threatened people around them.
- It shows or portrays the quality of your culture and traditions.
- The movie followed the same story right from the first series.
- It has really lovely graphics
What I don't like.
- It seems too long to me in terms of the series.
- The plot was predictable
Rating: Based on my experience with this movie, I will rate it 4 out of 5.
In conclusion, this movie, Koleoso, is truly an amazing one, especially this series 6. And one thing I noticed is that if you have not been following the movie right from the first series, you might need to check it out again because the movie is very long. If you are looking for a movie that will make you laugh and still be emotional, don't go too far, as you have one here to take you through the ride.
