(ENG/ESP) The Value of Customer Service: A Lesson in True Entrepreneurship.// El valor del servicio al cliente: Una lección de verdadero espíritu empresarial.

Just as we might know or not know, there is a big difference between those we refer to as entrepreneurs. Some are truly the real definition of an entrepreneur, while others are not even close. But for the fact that they have an enterprise to which they go daily to make money, this will make us refer them as entrepreneurs. Just like I do say, to be an entrepreneur, we don't just need to have some skill, which is meant for every entrepreneur to have, but in the same vein, it's not just to have some skill but also to have great communication skills with the customers that patronize you.

It was all good and great. Yesterday, I was a bit bored after spending the whole day in my room, and after some time staying indoors, I decided to take a stroll out in the evening, so I might be relaxed and relieved of the stress of staying indoors. While I was going, I had no intentions of buying anything but just to take a walk. But along the way, while I was going, I remembered that I needed to get something to eat because it was already getting late, and I didn't want to stress myself too much.

Then I went to a store that was by the roadside. When I said it was by the roadside, you should imagine the kind of store it would be. It wasn't anything close to big, but a small kiosk which they sell bread and make pos transfer. Majorly it just a place you can just drop by and get something to eat or possibly get money when you do not have any alternative. So I was just thing of patronising her, and then she could also make money from me.

Then I went to her and told her I needed to get bread. She took it out, and I asked for the price because the price fluctuates, and she said the price, but one thing about buying bread from just any store is the fact that you might not get a daily bread because they might not sell it off the same way they bought it from the bakery. So on seeing the bread she was giving me, I asked if the bread was a fresh one or not, and immediately after I asked this question, she gave me an insult in the presence of everyone standing.

She told me I was not supposed to ask that question, and I felt as if I had done something bad. Immediately I spoke back to her in annoyance, and I wanted to drop the bread and go somewhere else to buy it, but she was a bit lucky that the person who was meant to make the payment on my behalf had already done the transfer to her, but she hasn't seen it. I was so annoyed and was on the verge of telling her to refund the money back to me, but those around me were pleading for her. I just had to tell her that I was never coming here to beg in the first instance, and I never meant to be rude. That was why I asked. In her own way, she was supposed to reply to me properly if I would be willing to buy the bread for more than a day or not, but she refused.

I knew immediately that she did not know the value of a customer, and yet she was never remorseful about the way people were talking, and now I understand why some kinds of people have preferences and choices of where they go to buy something, and you see some not making sales while some are making because they know what the value of a real customer means in a business.

Lo sepamos o no, existe una gran diferencia entre aquellos a los que nos referimos como empresarios. Algunos son realmente la definición real de empresario, mientras que otros ni siquiera se acercan. Pero el hecho de que tengan una empresa a la que acuden a diario para ganar dinero hará que nos refiramos a ellos como empresarios. Como yo digo, para ser empresario no basta con tener alguna habilidad, que todo empresario debe tener, sino que, del mismo modo, no basta con tener alguna habilidad, sino que también hay que tener grandes dotes de comunicación con los clientes que te patrocinan.

Todo fue bueno y estupendo. Ayer, estaba un poco aburrida después de pasarme todo el día en mi habitación y, tras un rato encerrada, decidí dar un paseo por la tarde para relajarme y liberarme del estrés de estar encerrada. Mientras iba, no tenía intención de comprar nada, sólo de dar un paseo. Pero por el camino, mientras iba, me acordé de que necesitaba comer algo porque ya se estaba haciendo tarde, y no quería estresarme demasiado.

Entonces fui a una tienda que estaba junto a la carretera. Cuando digo que estaba al lado de la carretera, hay que imaginarse el tipo de tienda que sería. No era nada parecido a grande, sino un pequeño quiosco donde venden pan y hacen trasiego de pos. Principalmente es un lugar donde se puede pasar y comer algo o conseguir dinero cuando no se tiene otra alternativa. Así que me puse a tratarla con condescendencia, y así ella también podría ganar dinero conmigo.

Entonces me acerqué a ella y le dije que necesitaba pan. Ella lo sacó, y yo le pregunté el precio porque el precio fluctúa, y ella me dijo el precio, pero una cosa de comprar pan en cualquier tienda es el hecho de que puede que no consigas el pan de cada día porque puede que no lo vendan de la misma manera que lo compraron en la panadería. Así que al ver el pan que me estaba dando, le pregunté si el pan era fresco o no, e inmediatamente después de hacer esta pregunta, me soltó un insulto en presencia de todos los que estaban de pie.

Me dijo que no debía hacer esa pregunta, y me sentí como si hubiera hecho algo malo. Inmediatamente le contesté molesta, y quise soltar el pan e irme a otro sitio a comprarlo, pero tuvo un poco de suerte porque la persona que debía hacer el pago en mi nombre ya le había hecho la transferencia, pero ella no la ha visto. Me enfadé mucho y estuve a punto de decirle que me devolviera el dinero, pero los que estaban a mi alrededor suplicaban por ella. Tuve que decirle que, en primer lugar, nunca había venido aquí a mendigar y que mi intención nunca había sido ser grosera. Por eso se lo pedí. A su manera, ella debía responderme adecuadamente si estaría dispuesta a comprar el pan para más de un día o no, pero se negó.

Inmediatamente supe que ella no conocía el valor de un cliente, y sin embargo nunca se arrepintió de la forma en que la gente hablaba, y ahora entiendo por qué algunos tipos de personas tienen preferencias y eligen dónde ir a comprar algo, y ves que algunos no hacen ventas mientras que otros las hacen porque saben lo que significa el valor de un cliente real en un negocio.

Good evening @the-lead. Something as simple as buying the daily bread can become a conflict if the person is willing to that, as customers we are in our right to ask the characteristics or conditions of what we are going to acquire and as entrepreneurs patience and tolerance become virtues.

Algo tan sencillo como comprar el pan del día puede convertirse en un conflicto si la persona está dispuesta a eso, como clientes estamos en nuestro derecho a preguntar las características o condiciones de lo que vamos a adquirir y como emprendedores la paciencia y tolerancia se convierten en virtudes.
