Cryptocurrency: A Lifeline for Nigerian Youth Amidst Economic Turmoil.
I have always been trying to understand what my country, Nigeria, will turn most youth into one day, but should I say all thanks to fraudulent transactions or thanks to cryptocurrency? Well, I shouldn't be am happy about the fraudulent transactions that have been going on, but trust me, this is the basic part that has really helped the youth, coupled with those who get involved in Web3 projects and cryptocurrency. When I started to know about the cryptocurrency project, I was rest assured that I was going to get something into my account daily, even if it's not too much, and I would be able to feed myself with it and do some other things.
The country's economy has really gone upside down, and this has been the cause of the government trying to say they want to fight corruption. Truly, corruption needs to be tackled, but do you think corruption can be stopped by just one person? No. The word corruption, no. The word's corruption has a lot of letters in it, so does it have a strong root anywhere it sets up its trees and branches? What we really need to do is start from the root, which is to start with the people we call the leaders themselves.
There is nothing causing an economic crisis; it is not the mismanagement of the government in the country. It all started when they said they wanted to eradicate the use of cryptocurrency in Nigeria, and this is what most of the youth depends on, and it has saved a lot of people from poverty because they are able to work and then get paid in cryptocurrency. They tried so much to scrape this, but it was as if they hadn't done enough, and they went ahead to disconnect the use of binance from everyone in Nigeria.
If you are in Nigeria, you can not trade your cryptocurrency in P2P, aside from sending it to another application to complete this transaction. If there were no other ways for this to happen, tell me, wouldn't the world become so miserable for everyone? And come to think of it, inflation keeps setting in, and the price of each product's price keeps increasing steadily without any strong means of earnings.
It got to a point one day, and I had to sit down and imagine if there was no way out in cryptocurrency trading for us, the youth, how we would, we have survived this big menace. The government are also directing and indirectly getting involved in cryptocurrency exchanges, but they feel they need to get more rewards for themselves and earn more, but they do not want anyone else, and they try to pin the cryptocurrency issue on the masses, saying it has been the one affecting the economic growth of the nation.
Cryptocurrency has been in existence for only God knows when, and there haven't been any issues because, like local banks that get issues with charges and other things, cryptocurrency will never do that. The only thing you get to lose is when you input the wrong address or details. That is when you might lose your funds, but anything aside these, you are free to go and get your money in the best place and secured. I know that with the level of protest that will be held today against the economic situation in the country, we should get a better change, and the things should get cheaper by faith.
