Bank Alert: A Nigerian Nollywood Movies Review.

Sometimes we find ourselves in some big situations in which we then think of what to do as a solution, but we eventually don't get any solution in the end. This has made a man get himself into a situation where he thinks he can never get out of it or get a solution to this problem. I have thought about how easy life would have been for a man without having to face any life issues, but NO, issues are very certain to come a man's way.

Bank Alert, a movie that was released in 2023. It is a Nigerian comedy-drama that was directed by Akay Mason. Okey Bakassi, who acted as Sammy, is the main actor and acted as a former crypto manager who got himself in a difficult situation after being cheated and then losing his job, which he could not fight to get back due to the law that was above him.

His life became so difficult, and a lot of things were turning around for him, till his wife and children left him. But the story changed when he went to the bank to get a loan for his business after his friend advised him to do so, and then some huge amount of money was dropped into his account mistakenly. This was a big turn-around for him, and I am so sure this would have been anyone else that could have been in the same situation as Sammy.

Actually, Sammy thought things would get better by not telling anyone about this money except his lawyer friend, and they went to spend the money together and enjoy their lives to the fullest. But things got even worse when the owner of the money later discovered the money was hidden in Sammy's enclosure. Uzor Arukwe, the most dangerous gangster, began to look for him to collect his money back. Now, Sammy needs to make a decision, either to run for his life and leave his family or stay to release the money with him.

The movie really touched on some nice aspects of comedy, drama, betrayal and so on, but most importantly, the cinematography was a good one. Kudos to the producer in that aspect. The soundtrack was good, and the actors showed true actions with the likes of Okey Bakassi as Sammy Okereke, Kate Henshaw as Jade Okereke, Kanayo O. Kanayo as Uche, Uzor Arukwe as Modestus, Bolanle Ninalowo as Jantamanta, Taiwo Hassan as Grandpa, Tina Mba as Grandma, and so on.

What I like

1. The movie was entertaining and filled with lots of comedy.
2. I love the way Sammy's life changed for good after he got the huge alert.
3. The suspense was on the high side, and it made it a good one.

What I don't like

1. The movie still needs improvement in some aspects.
2. The movie was predictable.

In all, Bank Alert is an entertaining Nollywood movie you can't afford to miss because it has a touch of comedy, drama, and suspense, which will make you interested to watch. The story line was a good one, with a strong performance from the cast. I am sure if you are a lover of Nigerian movies, it's definitely worth watching and you are going to enjoy it.
