If I write about another drink, is it allowed in this community? I hope you can answer me so that I do not violate the community's policy and I also want to bring this drink to everyone. Have you ever heard of a drink called: "Gotu kola juice"?

I'm Nga, I'm from Vietnam, I know most people here like coffee or tea but I still want to review a nutritious drink in my country called: pennywort. This juice became a healthy drink trend 5 years ago in Vietnam and until now this drink is still loved by many people, especially those who like beautiful skin and a beautiful body.

"Fogo – rau má" – the drink shop that I want to mention today.

Pennywort is a very familiar plant in the daily life of Vietnamese people. But few people know that it is actually an extremely good "herb" for health. Since ancient times, traditional medicine has used pennywort to cool down, detoxify, cool the liver, treat boils, mouth ulcers, and poor digestion. Many people also call pennywort the “ginseng of the poor”. This leaf was often juiced by my mother for me to drink whenever it was hot or when I had mouth ulcers. Who would have thought that pennywort could be "transformed" into all kinds of attractive juices like that.

The space of the shop: green just like its name
Fogo is not a coffee shop, nor is it a milk tea shop. It's like an upgraded version of a "pennywort juice stall" – clean, eye-catching, youthful, and friendly. The shop I went to today has two floors, the lower floor is the order area and a small lovely seating area, the upper floor is more spacious, and has many super cute decor corners.

The main tone color of Fogo is green – exactly the color of pennywort. The logo draws a stylized leaf that looks very "cute", just like the student style that the shop is aiming for. I saw many young people coming, mostly students, some groups sitting to study, some people coming to buy take-away.
The music in the shop is played softly, gently, not noisy like some milk tea shops. The space is not too large but airy enough and comfortable to sit and chat or do light work.

To be honest, I was quite surprised with Fogo's menu. Until now I only knew about pure pennywort, now pennywort mix has been taken to a whole new level: such as pennywort aloe vera, pennywort mung bean, pennywort coconut milk, pennywort milk, pennywort egg cream, pennywort taro sauce, pennywort salted egg coconut cream sauce... There are even pennywort mixes with cereal toppings, pudding, cheese cream – just hearing it already sounds strange.

This time I ordered two drinks:

Pure pennywort with aloe vera topping
This is the most "classic" drink of the shop. Cold pressed pennywort juice, clear green color, light taste, not bitter. Probably thanks to the careful filtering method, adding a bit of sugar, so it’s very pleasant to drink. The aloe vera topping is crunchy and cool, goes really well together. I think if anyone has never drunk pennywort or is afraid of its bitter taste, just try this one first. Easy to drink and very refreshing.

Pennywort mung bean with roasted coconut egg cream
Just hearing the name already sounds “greasy”. This glass looks super pretty – the bottom layer is pureed mung bean, the middle is fresh green pennywort juice, the top is greasy egg cream with fragrant roasted coconut crumbs. I stirred it well before drinking, the greasy taste of mung bean blends with the refreshing taste of pennywort, adding a bit of creaminess from the egg cream and the aroma of coconut – really delicious. Every sip feels cool.

Some outstanding uses of pennywort include:

Cooling down, detoxifying the body: very good for hot days, helps to cool from the inside.

Reducing stress, supporting memory: pennywort has active ingredients that help mild sedation, drinking regularly helps to relax the mind.

Beautifying the skin: contains a lot of vitamin C and E, pennywort supports bright, healthy skin, reduces acne, and is antioxidant.

Supporting the digestive system: helps prevent constipation, reduces stomach ulcers, soothes the intestines.

Good for the liver: helps eliminate toxins, supports the liver to work more efficiently.

Drinking pennywort instead of tea or coffee is actually a much better choice, especially for young people nowadays – everyone stays up late, eats irregularly, gets stressed from studying or work. A glass of pennywort every day will help the body “recover” gently without needing medicine.

💸 The price is too “student-friendly”
Compared to the general price level, drinks at Fogo are really cheap. Only from 12k – 25k (about 0.5 – 1 dollar), you already have a pennywort mix that is both delicious and good for your health. I think this is a very reasonable price, especially compared to types of milk tea with lots of sugar, lots of cream but not good for the body.

Fogo pennywort is a place for those who want to live healthily and want to drink healthy beverages. I’m extremely impressed with the creativity in the shop’s pennywort menu – from a simple ingredient that can be “transformed” into so many recipes. The green space, cuteness, friendliness, mostly students and pupils come so it’s also comfortable, not crowded.
Fogo – the system has about 10 stores, each location carries the characteristic green color.
