¡Hola chicos de hive! Espero que estén muy bien. Ya estoy contenta de poder hacerles uun nuevo post, y un poco melancólica al comentarles una situación muy sentimental para mí. Yo, soy Zuliana y hace muchos años -cuando hablo de muchos años puedo decir que alrededor de 8 años- no había ido a visitar a la ciudad oriunda de mi papá, ciudad que visitaba mucho cuando era pequeña porque allí vivía mi abuela cuando estaba viva e ir a visitarla me causaba emoción.

Hi guys from hive! I hope you are doing great. I'm happy to be able to make you a new post, and a little melancholic to tell you about a very sentimental situation for me. I'm from Zulia and it's been many years - when I say many years I can say around 8 years - since I had been to visit my dad's hometown, a city I used to visit a lot when I was little because my grandmother used to live there when she was alive and going to visit her made me feel excited.

El trayecto, los nombres de los lugares por donde pasábamos, los carteles inmensos que llamaban mi atención, y lo mejor de todo, el asombroso y majestuoso puente que se alzaba por encima del agua y que mágicamente parecía llevarnos sobre el agua hasta el otro lado. No es para menos todas estas emociones porque esta estructura es inmensa, y de hecho, el lago de Maracaibo es el lago más grande del mundo, por supuesto, aquí hay algunas condiciones. Algunos investigadores dicen que el lago de Maracaibo es un lago y otros dicen que no lo es por qué tienen otras especificaciones. El caso es que el puente es colosal... Para cualquier venezolano y muchas personas que nos visitan de otras partes del mundo lo es.

The journey, the names of the places we passed by, the huge signs that caught my attention, and best of all, the amazing and majestic bridge that rose above the water and magically seemed to take us over the water to the other side. It is not for less all these emotions because this structure is immense, and in fact, Lake Maracaibo is the largest lake in the world, of course, here are some conditions. Some researchers say that Lake Maracaibo is a lake and others say it is not because they have other specifications. The fact is that the bridge is colossal? For any Venezuelan and many people who visit us from other parts of the world it is.

Cuando llegó el momento de pasar por esta majestuosidad, mi corazón no pudo evitar sentir nostalgia de aquellos días en los que mi visita por estos lugares era más frecuente. Para mí lo más importante de esta visita era mágica no porque todas las cosas que les mencioné anteriormente, sino el motivo por el cual frecuentábamos, esta ciudad. El motivo era mi abuela, ella vivía en la zona de San Francisco y nosotros sinceramente casi nunca nos adentramos al centro de Maracaibo ni a sus calles súper concurridas. Para ir a San Francisco se toma una desviación que queda a algunos metros después de pasar el puente sobre el lago.

When it was time to pass through this majesty, my heart could not help but feel nostalgic for those days when my visit to these places was more frequent. For me the most important thing about this visit was magical not because of all the things I mentioned before, but because of the reason why we frequented this city. The reason was my grandmother, she lived in the area of San Francisco and we honestly almost never went into the center of Maracaibo or its super busy streets. To go to San Francisco you take a detour that is a few meters after passing the bridge over the lake.

Yo soy fotógrafa profesional, pero las condiciones estuvieron perfectas, y como que todo se puso de acuerdo para crear una escena hermosa que puede captar en una de mis imágene, que casualmente fue una selfie y es que un hermoso arco enmarcaba mi rostro y hacía un retrato perfecto de mi.

I am a professional photographer, but the conditions were perfect, and everything came together to create a beautiful scene that can be captured in one of my images, which happened to be a selfie and a beautiful arch framed my face and made a perfect portrait of me.

Para nadie es un secreto, o por lo menos para quiénes investigan, de qué Maracaibo es una ciudad bastante calurosa, pero a pesar de esto, el trayecto en bus estuvo muy muy agradable porque la brisa que hacía en el lago nos mantenía refrescados.

Específicamente cruzar el puente sobre el lago, que por cierto, se llama General Rafael Urdaneta, es definitivamente, una hazaña que para quienes viajan constantemente nos impresiona y nos llena de emoción.

En estos momentos me llena de alegría de que mi hermanita va a estar frecuentando constantemente la ciudad oriunda de nuestro padre, y que seguramente como va a estar un buen tiempo haciéndolo. Va a conocer muchísimas cosas, tanto de la cultura, como las expresiones, las maravillosas personas que son los Marabinos: curiosos, llenos de energía, de felicidad, de explosividad, y en algunas ocasiones esto puede llegar hasta a ser molesto para muchas personas, pero siento que mientras miremos todo desde la curiosidad podremos encontrar una cultura muy rica, una gastronomía exquisita y de las mejores vistas que hay en el estado zulia.

At this moment I am very happy that my little sister is going to be constantly visiting our father's hometown, and she will surely be doing it for a long time. She is going to know many things about the culture, the expressions, the wonderful people that are the Marabinos: curious, full of energy, happiness, explosiveness, and sometimes this can even be annoying for many people, but I feel that as long as we look at everything from curiosity we can find a very rich culture, an exquisite cuisine and the best views that are in the state of Zulia.
