The first chapter gives us a glimpse into the future, where Athanasia is condemned by her own father, Emperor Claude of Alger Obelia, to be locked up in a tower for using black magic, even though her intention in defying this prohibition was to win the love of a father who had ignored her all her life for lacking these gifts that she was supposed to inherit naturally (her mother, named Diana, who died after giving birth to her on a stormy night, was a dancer who used magic, and her father is a very powerful magic user).

El primer capítulo nos enseña un vistazo al futuro, donde Athanasia es condenada por su propio padre, el Emperador Claude de Alger Obelia, a ser encerrada en una torre por haber utilizado magia negra aunque su intensión al desafiar esa prohibición fuera ganar el amor de un padre que la ha ignorado toda su vida por carecer de estos dones que se supone debía heredar naturalmente (su madre llamada Diana, que fallece despues de darle a luz en una noche de tormenta, era una bailarina que utilizaba la magia, y su padre es un usuario de magia muy poderoso).

Athanasia has had a difficult life from the start. Her father, the Emperor, ordered everything that belonged to her mother to be burned, and she will never see her. Rumors spread that he did not love the late queen and that Athanasia is an unwanted daughter. so the servants neglect her, and we are led to believe that she might have starved to death if it weren't for Lady Lilian, a friend of her mother's who comes to Ruby Castle to offer her services as her caregiver. But I'm getting ahead of myself! Our poor Athanasia is a neglected baby who seems to faint in her crib from hunger and has a vision of a book containing all the events of her future (as I mentioned in the paragraph above!), which, when it finishes revealing itself to her, makes her come back from what seems to have been just a nightmare.

Athanasia tiene una vida dificil desde el principio, como su padre el Emperador ordenó quemar todo lo que perteneció a su madre y nunca va a verla, se corre el rumor de que no amaba a la fallecida reina y que Athanasia es una hija no querida, asi que la servidumbre es negligente con ella y tal punto nos insinúan, que pudo haber muerto de hambre si no fuera por Lady Lilian, una amiga de su madre que se apersona en el Castillo Rubí para ofrecerse como su cuidadora, ¡pero me estoy adelantando!, nuestra pobre Athanasia es un bebé descuidado que parece desmayarse en su cuna por hambre y tener una visión de un libro que contiene todos los sucesos de su futuro (¡lo que te digo en el párrafo de arriba!), que al terminar de revelársele la hace volver de lo que parece, solo fue una pesadilla.

Knowing what lies ahead, Athanasia refuses to accept her fate and begins to work on a plan to escape it, literally fleeing the palace far away from her father before she turns nine. To this end, she begins to collect jewels, which she gathers in small bags that she hides under her bed.

Teniendo conocimiento de lo que le espera en el futuro, Athanasia se niega a aceptarlo y comienza a trabajar en un plan para huir de su destino, literalmente, huir del palacio muy lejos de su padre antes de cumplir 9 años, para lo que comienza a reunir joyas que va recolectando en saquitos que esconde debajo de su cama.

But Athanasia is not only working on getting what she needs for her escape plan, she also uses what she calls premonitory dreams (glimpses of her own history in her dreams) to change events and tragedies in her present. For example, she prevents the murder of Lady Lilian, but this changes the fate of her kingdom, and therefore the things she has seen happening in her dreams begin to not happen exactly as she saw them.

Pero Athanasia no solo esta trabajando en conseguir lo que necesita para su plan de escape, ella tambien usa lo que llama sueños premonitorios (vistazos en sus sueños de su propia historia) para cambiar acontecimientos y tragedias de su presente, por ejemplo evita el asesinato de Lady Lilian, pero eso cambia el destino de su reino y por tanto las cosas que ha visto suceder en sus sueños comienzan a no suceder al pie de la letra.

For example, her first face-to-face meeting with her father was supposed to take place when she was nine years old, but now she meets him at the age of five. This radically changes her plans as she spends time with Emperor Claude, who, although stoic and expressionless, seems, in his own way, genuinely interested in his daughter and insists on seeing her every day to eat and share tea. This greatly baffles Athanasia, who is terrified of him because of her visions of the future where he is cruel to her.

Por ejemplo, se suponía que el primer encuentro en persona con su padre sería a los 9 años, pero ahora se encuentra con el con la edad de 5 años, esto cambia radicalmente sus planes a medida que pasa tiempo con el Emperador Claude, quien aunque estoico e inexpresivo parece, a su manera, realmente interesado en su hija e insiste en verla todos los dias para comer y compartir el té; esto desconcierta bastante a Athanasia, que le tiene un miedo descomunal por sus visiones del futuro donde es cruel con ella.

The combination of the protagonist's maturity and her internal dialogues, combined with the Emperor's attitude and personality, create funny situations with misunderstandings on both sides. It's hilarious to see how Athanasia panics when she has no idea what her father is thinking, while Claude has no idea how to deal with a small child. To date, the last episode aired is the fifth, and it left us on the edge of our seats with Athanasia coughing up blood after reciting a spell.

La combinación de la madurez de la protagonista y sus diálogos internos, combinados con la actitud y personalidad del Emperador crean situaciones graciosas con malentendidos desde ambas partes. Es graciosísimo ver como Athanasia se paniquea al no tener idea en qué piensa su padre, y a la vez Claude no tiene idea en cómo tratar a un niño pequeño. A la fecha de hoy el último capitulo emitido es el 5to y nos dejó al borde de la silla con Athanasia tosiendo sangre despues de haber recitado un hechizo.

Extra positive points to highlight are the fluid and beautiful animation with high detail and the pace of events, which is slow, even a little cloying, but nothing has been wasted so far.

Puntos extra positivos a destacar, la animación tan fluida y hermosa a alto detalle, y el ritmo de los acontecimientos que es lento, incluso un poco empalagoso pero nada tiene desperdicio hasta ahora.

“Mofa Gongzhu by Xiao Fannao” is an interesting proposition after a long season of watching action series such as Shingeki No Kyoujin or Kimetsu No Yaiba. It also focuses on how a little girl tries to change the future by dodging dangers and palace intrigues, and the relationship she tries to build with her father is a more than original proposition.

"Mofa Gongzhu de Xiao Fannao" es una propuesta interesante despues de una larga temporada de ver series de acción como Shingeki No Kyoujin o Kimetsu No Yaiba, también al centrarse en cómo una pequeña niña trata de cambiar el futuro esquivando peligros e intrigas palaciegas + la relación que intenta construir con su padre es una propuesta mas que original.

On the internet, you'll find opinions that this series has a trite plot, with some saying that it's a repetitive genre among manhwa because the original novel on which it's based is an isekai; but I think people have become too critical and bitter.

En internet encontraras opiniones sobre que esta serie es de trama trillada, algunos dicen que es de un género repetitivo entre los manhwa por tratarse la novela original en la que esta basado, en un isekai; pero yo creo que la gente se ha vuelto demasiado critica y amargada.

“The Fated Magical Princess” is the kind of series you'll love to watch at the end of a hard day when you just want to relax and enjoy a beautifully animated anime with short 20-minute episodes. I recommend it 👌 ✨
