🇪🇸 ~ Las "Magical Girl" son un tipo de personaje poco frecuente en los comics de occidente o americanos. Asombrosamente, en el N° 4 (Volumen N° 1) de "Extreme Venomverse" ("Sparkle and Shine", 2008) de Marvel Comics aparece "Necroko", ya sabes, en ese scrollear de Pinterest antes de dormir, me consigo con semejante personaje y INVESTIGAR NO FUE OPCIÓN, ERA UNA NECESIDAD:

! [English Version] 🇺🇸 ~ The "Magical Girl" is a rare character type in Western or American comics. Amazingly, in No. 4 (Volume No. 1) of "Extreme Venomverse" ("Sparkle and Shine", 2008) from Marvel Comics, "Necroko" appears, you know, in that Pinterest scrolling before bed I come across such a character and INQUIRING WAS NOT AN OPTION, IT WAS A NECESSITY:

Antes que nada y para que tu corazón no se rompa como el mío al buscar el comic, "Sparkle and Shine" from "Extreme Venomverse" tiene muy pocas páginas y parece auto conclusivo con un final abierto; no hay más capítulos que esta breve presentación del personaje y una igual de breve introducción a su universo.

[English Version] First of all, and just so your heart doesn't break like mine when looking for the comic, “Sparkle and Shine” from “Extreme Venomverse” is very few pages long and seems self-concluding with an open ending; there are no chapters other than this brief introduction to the character and an equally brief introduction to his universe.

¡Te resumo la historia! 👉 Ellie Ellison (Earth-41459) es una estudiante de secundaria que vive en un mundo peligroso donde existen monstros que devoran personas. Cuando su escuela es atacada, se revela que tiene una relacion con un simbiote, que tiene la forma de un lazo en su cabello y desencadena a voluntad su transformación en Necroko (que por cierto tiene un lema bastante cool), la que a pesar de su apariencia "kawaii" es como imaginamos cualquier personaje de la línea "Venom", mucha tendencia a la violencia y grandes dientes. Ellie como es de esperar, al día siguiente es objeto de rechazo por la revelación de su "otra identidad", pero su crush Parker Piper la defiende, y la historia concluye con una no tan leve insinuación del crossover entre Venomverse y Spiderverse.

! [English Version] I'll recap the story for you! 👉 Ellie Ellison (Earth-41459) is a high school student who lives in a dangerous world where there are monsters that devour people. When her school is attacked, it is revealed that she has a relationship with a symbiote, which takes the form of a bow in her hair and triggers at will her transformation into Necroko (who by the way has a pretty cool motto), which despite her “kawaii” appearance is like we imagine any character from the “Venom” line, lots of tendency to violence and big teeth. Ellie as expected, the next day is subject to backlash for the revelation of her “other identity”, but her crush Parker Piper defends her, and the story concludes with a not so slight hint of the crossover between Venomverse and Spiderverse.

Coincido en la opinion de que sería una pena que este personaje fuera de una sola aparición, Necroko tiene mucho potencial y algo que siempre he pensado es que el comic americano y el manga japonés pueden tener muchas "obvias" diferencias, sí, pero la que encuentro más contundente es la manera en que se cuentan las historias más que el apartado gráfico:

El cómic americano es mas directo, mas crudo, y a veces por eso más impactante, aquí no hay un "ShengLong" ni "esferas del dragón" que buscar, vivir aventuras y revivir a tus amigos, pero sí hay mutantes con la capacidad de trascender, torcer y manipular el espacio, el tiempo y la existencia misma, hay un Dr Strange y un Constantine y esos personajes escapan al canon de "héroe" que estamos acostumbrados a ver en el manga japonés.

[English Version] I agree with the opinion that it would be a shame for this character to be a one-time appearance, Necroko has a lot of potential and something I have always thought is that American comics and Japanese manga may have many "obvious" differences, yes, but the one I find most striking is the way in which the stories are told rather than the graphic section:

The American comic is more direct, more raw, and sometimes because of that more shocking, here there is no "ShengLong" or “dragon spheres” to look for, live adventures and revive your friends, but there are mutants with the ability to transcend, twist and manipulate space, time and existence itself, there is a Dr Strange and a Constantine and those characters escape the "hero" canon we are used to see in Japanese manga.

¡Otra cosa importante!, Necroko me parece una gran propuesta como posible proyecto Cosplay. El vestido parece sencillo pero hablando desde la perspectiva de la confección es un diseño que puede ser maximizado si buscas inspiración en referencias de la moda Lolita y los musicales de Sailor Moon.

Necroko entra definitivamente en mi lista de "CosPlans" aunque es algo que no haya intentado antes, la peluca por sobre todo será un reto, pero uno que sé podré superar y sobre todo me anima la expectativa de poder aprender algo nuevo comenzando con un diseño tan "grande y esponjoso", la estilización de pelucas para Cosplay es un universo completamente nuevo y prácticamente su propia cátedra crafteril de la que apenas comienzo a aprender. ¿Tu que opinas?

! [English Version] Another important thing, Necroko looks like a great suggestion as a possible cosplay project to me. The dress looks simple, but from a tailoring perspective, it's a design that can be maximized if you look for inspiration from Lolita fashion references and Sailor Moon musicals.

Necroko is definitely on my list of "CosPlans" even though it is something I have never tried before, the wig especially will be a challenge but one I know I can overcome and above all I am encouraged by the expectation of learning something new starting with such a "big and fluffy" design, styling wigs for cosplay is a whole new universe and practically its own crafteril cathedra that I am just beginning to learn about.
