The world has gone fluffing Quackers!

Hello Hello to all Hivians and indeed anyone reading this.

Another day, another morning of waking up to find out more nonsense has been carried out by our illustrious leaders.

It's not just humans that we harm

On Friday we had to visit a local Aldi supermarket as Mrs T had seen one of these waterproof bags for you to store your phone wallet and keys in. After getting caught up in the the thunderstorm rains of last weekend she was paranoid about getting her phone wet and damaged. She had seen ones listed in the weekly special offers section of the email she gets, and took the executive decision that at £1.99 she wanted one.

No problem, however it was completely the opposite direction of where I had planned to take us. Now then, you do have to keep the women pleased don't you... So I said sure what a great thing to do, but why not since we are going that way, swing in via the park as I heard the cygnets are out on the water?

She was in agreement!

Animals were starving

I did of course take some duck and swan food with me. However I didn't take anything else as it was only meant to be a quick five minute detour.

image.png

The food was for the baby swans who were in the middle of the pond.

However as I walked to edge, a female mallard duck had seen me, and came steaming in as fast as she could.

The ducks all went beserk for the food. I was throwing into the water and scaring away the seagulls so had no time to take any pictures.

Then some of them were around my ankles wanting food.

image.png

But who were they looking at?

A squirrel well actually two of them were fluffing starving. They came up to Mrs T for food. She did have some almonds so gave them a couple each.

image.png

It has been 3 or 4 years since I have seen the animals so fluffing hungry.

The mallard ducks were fighting each other off to get to the food pellets.

And then the squirrels joined in, that was really strange seeing so many animals starving.

The cygnets

image.png

There are four this year that have made it to that size. Two of them were quite independent and swimming on their own and the other two were hanging around mummy and daddy!

Return of Dafty the Duck

Some of the old members of readcash might remember the antics of Dafty the Duck and his love island and his threesomes...

Well I think his ancestor has returned and is just as daft!

This was him saying the world has turned fluffing upside down!

image.png

We did get to the beach an it was this sort of hazy weather... which was kinda funky as I saw a ..

image.png

Funky floating flying boat!

image.png

It looks like one of the these backgrounds where you placed a sticker in the shape of a boat on it!

Well bizarre and what a perfect way to sum up this post...

We're all fluffing quackers

Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your day!

The squirrels cannot hunt their own food? Why do they look starving?😬. Luckily they are not scared of humans. 😐

Well the squirrels must have run out of nuts. We often feed them but these were not in the trees were we normally go to find them.

When I saw these quackers' photos, I remember my kindergarten song...Rubber Duckie and my father's ducks. At the back of our house, we had this much-loved little pond which became a playground for the ducks my father raised. A gleam in my eyes when I saw your post, as I can reminisce about the ducks my father raised from my childhood.

Rushing out to go home to feed them every day after school, gives me a high spirit. As soon as they spotted me, they would spring around in wild excitement, forming a lively little crowd around me. The way they eagerly waited for those pellets and the excitement in their quacks, brought a smile to my face. To watch them eat, splash around, and even play with one another brings joy to me. Those moments by the pond are some of my happiest memories, thanks to the delightful ducks my father raised and thanks to your blog. It made me go back to my childhood days.

Yes yes yes they recognise you and that happens to me. Those must have been wonderful childhood days, how cool is it that your dad raised ducks!

Do you know that my favourite egg is a duck egg. I used to go and see a neighbour when I was a teenager as she raised ducks and would give me some from time to time.

A wonderful comment from you and so great to see you here again.

My father is an agriculturist so he likes to raise animals. We raise Peking and Muscovy ducks for family consumption and sell the rest.

Do you know that my favourite egg is a duck egg?

I envy you and you eat duck eggs. I am forbidden to eat duck because I am allergic to them, and I got rashes all over my body. I am content with eating chicken eggs and I am not allergic to them. Duck eggs contain a different protein than chicken eggs do, and some people are allergic to that, according to the doctor.

A wonderful comment from you and so great to see you here again.

It's my pleasure to be back here.☺️🌷 Have a wonderful day to you @tengolotodo. God speed.🌺🕊️

Oh wow I know another filipina here (@lhes) who can't eat chicken because she gets rashes over her body too!
The only thing I am allergic to is soya which is no great loss.
Peking and Muscovy ducks oh gosh now you have me wanting some duck.

Oh, @lhes? She's an awesome lady I like her. Is she allergic to chicken eggs? Having rashes all over the body is so itchy, it feels like hell. When rashes show up, I take an antihistamine right away. After taking an antihistamine, my problem is, I doze off after an hour.

The only thing I am allergic to is soya which is no great loss.

I asked a health expert friend why there are individuals who are allergic to soy. She said that generics play a role in the development of soy allergies as individuals with a family history of allergies are more prone to developing this condition.

Peking and Muscovy ducks oh gosh now you have me wanting some duck.

Are you going to raise Peking and Muscovy ducks? ☺️ It's adorable to have around.🥰

Have a lovely day Kuya @tengolotodo God bless you and your family.🌷🕊️

It is a shame that people get rashes. I am lucky with the soya, just a sore tummy sometimes, but I learn to avoid it.

I don't really live somewhere suitable to raise ducks, although I have always wanted to lol!

Yes, you're right, it's embarrassing to have rashes anywhere on the body because they're so itchy and you can't help but scratch them.

I don't really live somewhere suitable to raise ducks, although I have always wanted to lol!

It's a pity you can't raise ducks in your area. They are so adorable though there are times when they're so noisy.

Haha well when I go feed them they can be super noisy, so having in them back garden would be noisy lol. But in a fun way :)

That's the smartest thing I've read today: Gotta keep the girls happy. hahaha. Agree with you Ed!!! You do very well to heed Mrs. T. At least you had fun and took lots of pictures, so it was a very productive outing. The animals thanked you. Ah, that boat photo looks great, if it weren't for those little white shadows, I would have thought the boat was levitating. A Sunday hug 🫂

I would have thought the boat was levitating.

levitating ... thank you Nancy, that was the word I was looking for! Well I took more pics of it, the little white shadows were actually seagulls!
Oh yes I like to keep women happy Nancy 😝
Yes I will be back in the park tomorrow. That was disturbing how hungry they were at this time of the year! A big levitating hug to you Nancy :)

Those were some great bird pictures, they are always a lot of fun to watch aren't they? It's funny how domesticated the ducks and squirrels are in parks where they get fed frequently. They think it's your job to feed them! lol

I don't blame the the Mrs. wanting something to protect things from the rain. Unless you have an expensive water resistant phone a little water can do them in! It looks like it was a nice day though!

This is our local park and it is only a five minute walk away and it was such a blessing during the pandemic.
But the ducks and the swans hehe they see me and come running so to speak as I bring them their food. Too many people still bring old stale bread which does them no good whatsoever!
Yeah with the phones it is the wee ports that she gets paranoid about.
Oh yes it turned into a real cracker of a day.

Thanks for taking my mind off this effed up time line... even if it was just for a moment. ;)

Loved the animal shots and the FFF boat was next level. Awesome shot!
