As soon as I saw the Silver Jubilee on the coin I knew it was 1977.
What a year and I remember the street parties we had, with bunting on the lampposts and tables and chairs full of food and drinks in the street. What a time, such a shame those days are long gone, when this country was full of communities of caring people.
Seeing your exwife mentioned made me chuckle. Tonight when my wife came from work, I asked how her new taxi driver was today. She got me laughing when somehow they got talking about the time he had to go pick up his exwife as a fare. He said no fucking way am I picking you up, so call someone else 🤣

Funny how just a few years can change the community entirely. Social media may be part of the problem, or maybe people are just more self centered and narcissistic than they used to be? It's a shame those days are long gone...
Picking up your ex for cab fare? I don't blame him for refusing that fare. There are some things that are best left in the past... Ex-wives are one of them!
Glad you knew the year right away of the coin, I think it's the only coin I own that was from 1977 from a UK protectorate and none from the UK either. It was interesting to learn about the event, I was too young and living in the wrong country to appreciate it's significance!
Well I was a kid when it happened, but both sides of my family were big fans of the monarchy so 25 years on the throne was a big deal. The population has grown massively since then, as they just let anyone in. Then it was the British, Indians and people from the Caribbean and Africa so it was English that was spoken. Now lol anything but. Enough of that before I rant lol.
Always great to see your coins and read some back history!
