Out and about in hilly Kirkcaldy ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ

What a gorgeous spring we have had in this part of Scotland and I am sure in most parts of the UK to be honest.

Whenever we see sun here we do our best to get outside and enjoy it! Because you never know when it will vanish lol!

Out and about in hilly Kirkcaldy .png

image.png

One thing I love about walking and not driving is that you see so much more detail and can stop and take pictures at will!

image.png

When there's a will there's a way.

Nature is amazing and will find a way, we as humans often given up, not so nature.

If she can find the teeniest of a crack then bam she will make life flourish!

image.png

image.png

We are in a different part of town today

Kirkcaldy the Lang Toun

Kirkcaldy the long town, where I live near the coast is flat and long.

But as people moved to town the infrastructure had to grow, and so it moved inland!

Inland is hilly!

image.png

The hungry Raven

image.png

This part of town is very close to a retail park full of fast food places, which are just excuses for people to be litter louts!

Cat on a mission

image.png

If you saw my post on Saturday Beavertown and Puss on Tap in Beer Saturday then you will remember I had a pint with the pub cat.

image.png

Well he was on a mission to explore and show me things I think!

image.png

There were birds on the other side of the hedge, but he soon gave up and took up a position as pub greeter!

image.png

image.png

However he was soon on the prowl again...

image.png

But he was seen by someone!

image.png

Percy the pigeon keeping a beady eye on the cat!

image.png

image.png

My business was over and so it was time to head home...

We are moving out of spring as you can tell by the blossom trees...

image.png

... losing their blossoms.

It is sad but nature must go on!

image.png

image.png

Hills galore

You can see the retail park in the distance.

I never really walk around here, so never grasped how hilly it was!

image.png

It's not a problem if you are in a car or bus, but if you walking with groceries or even just walking in the hot sun, then you sure realise that those legs are pumping and walking up and down hills!

image.png

It is one of the main roads through the neighbourhoods and has a nighty pelican crossing to cross the road at.

image.png

It also made for a good spot to snap some pictures.

image.png

It is not just hills in the town, there are hills in the countryside too!

image.png

Enough of that, I had found a bus stop to get a bus from back into town.

But would you look at this....

Please note that due to the pandemic, the timetables displayed here may not be up to date ....

Well fluff me guys, the pandemic was years ago!

I did wonder if there was even a bus that stopped here!

image.png

But there was, and in no time I was back in town at the bus station, where I saw

Cheers everyone!

I hope you enjoyed our little adventure!

This post is for #wednesdaywalk which was inspired by @tattoodjay

Thanks for visiting and I hope you managed to get out for a walk this week.

Hehe I think most places look good when it is sunny! But yes it is a pretty time of the year when everything is looking green and nature is showing how beautiful she is!

I know what you mean with the sun. We had a great weekend and Monday, but now we are in the middle of some cloudy junk! That is pretty cool with the purple flowers. We have something like that growing out of the one of the cracks in our curb.

We have a lot of those old stone walls here, and I just love how flowers grow in them.
Ah the weather was misty then sunny but not so warm, well I hope those clouds of yours go!

That cat again? You should seriously think that he wants to tell you something with his constant presence! ;D... I also love when the beauty of nature imposes itself and manages to emerge from the rubble: it seems to me like a symbol that even in the strongest moments, hope is born. A hug as beautiful as those blue flowers, my friend.

Ah a hug as beautiful as those blue flowers is simply beautiful and thank you Nancy!
But yes when nature imposes herself she is amazing. Hehe you know I took about 100 pictures of that cat, I think he deserves his own post!
A beautiful Wednesday hug to Cumana my friend :)

I agree, walking allows us to see interesting details around the area and also includes taking pictures more conveniently. Lovely flowers finding its home within those cracks and its thriving beautifully. Lovely town surrounded with trees and scenic horizon can be seen at a distance. Cutie cat is one of the main attractions here...

Thanks for the kind words and I wish you a wonderful day :)

Are you aware that you need hiking shoes to walk in the mountains? You need to get out of the car more often and conquer those mountains for us. Hahaha... I love this walk. And the cat is beautiful. If you drank a pint of beer with him, buy him hiking boots as well.

It feels like I'm in a tour in Scotland. It's so wonderful how you made simple things into a moment to remember. That photos looks so good and the description about it makes it more interesting. What a beautiful place๐Ÿค

Hehe Super Eli he was a great wee guide and I had a beer with him too! I have a stack of pics of him that he deserves his own post!
Do you know we have had the driest spring in decades and water shortages are on the horizon.
Big hugs querida and I shall be visiting you soon ๐Ÿ’™

Your wee guide looks so cute and seems to be a little rascal too if he had a beer with you ๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜น

Do you know we have had the driest spring in decades and water shortages are on the horizon.

Oh no!!! welcome to the water shortages club ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Although here the issue of water shortages is no longer due to drought or natural causes but to the incompetence and lack of maintenance of infrastructure :(

Happy Weekend Super Ed ๐Ÿ’™

Hehe oh I think he was a wee rascal Super Eli ๐Ÿ’™

Yeah this is not a good drought, the grass is brown already and we have not even got to summer. Unfortunately climate change is very real.

Enjoy your Sunday Super Eli ๐Ÿ’™

Great pictures you got there! The sunshine is always pleasant, and to be enjoyed! That cat sure was adventurous, wandering and exploring. Very cool flowers by the way, some nice purple to brighten the day!

Turns out we are having the driest spring for decades so spring may well be more green than summer at this rate!

The cat was a wee charmer but he was full on explorer too!
