Going for a wandering walking daunder on ttt 220

Hello music lovers and Hello hivers!

It's Tuesday in some parts of the world already and you know what that means – time to share some tunes for the brilliant #threetunetuesday initiative started by @ablaze!

I have been trying to get some picture posts out but it is not easy and not quick. Having to choose the correct photos that I want to show, edit them where appropriate and then write the story to accompany them!

The one I am currently doing is about a daunder through a Royal Burgh...

image.png

What the fluff is daunder?

Do you know this Scottish word?

"Daunder" is a Scottish word that means to walk or stroll in a slow, leisurely, or aimless way. It implies a relaxed and unhurried pace, often for pleasure, without a specific destination in mind. It is something I do once or twice weekly.

So we have three songs that would do well in the daunder category!

It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!

@ablaze started #ttt 220 weeks ago! Go check out what it is all about on his last post Nirvana II for Three Tune Tuesday - Week 219 - win 6 HBI

Do go support @ablaze as without him we would not have this mental fun musical activity that you can win HSBI from! I am happy to be one of the SIX sponsors and it is kinda fun checking out music from all over this global village of ours!

Long live #ttt 😁🎼 and #threetunetuesday

Where to start!

My inspiration as I mentioned earlier is Daunder

I scoured my brain for songs about walking and had a couple in mind. I then searched online and added another one.

Today's "Three Tunes Tuesday" is dedicated to the wonderful art of Daundering.

So, for this week’s #ThreetuneTuesday we have three tunes about daundering or walking.

The perfect excuse for a leisurely, aimless stroll. These three songs are perfect for that kind of unhurried journey.

First up, a meditative and jazzy piece to set the pace

Tune 1 ~ Traffic - "Walking in the Wind"

Traffic was an English rock band formed in 1967, known for their blend of psychedelic rock, jazz, and folk.

This track Walking in the Wind with its laid-back groove is from their 1971 album The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys. The song has a wonderfully relaxed, wandering feel that makes you feel like you're meandering through a landscape with no particular destination in mind. It's the perfect way to start off with our daundering adventure!

image.png
Now let's come forward to this millennium and some rustic blues. This is actually the extra song that I went searching for!

Tune 2 ~ Seasick Steve - "Walkin' Man"

Seasick Steve is an American blues musician, known for his unique style and use of homemade instruments. This song, from his 2006 album Dog House Music, is the perfect second song for our daundering. It doesn't matter where we are going!

image.png

Finally being Scottish I just have to include the ultimate anthem for a long walk!

Tune 3 ~ The Proclaimers - "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)"

The Proclaimers are a Scottish duo known for their distinctive accents and infectious folk-rock sound. T

Originally from Edinburgh they also spent time as youngsters in Auchtermuchty, Fife which is just a few miles from where I live now.

This iconic track is from their 1988 album, Sunshine on Leith. The upbeat tempo and famous lyrics about walking a thousand miles just to be with someone perfectly capture the determined yet joyful spirit of a long, rambling walk.

Talking about Scottish words, did you hear the lyric about havering?

To "haver" means to talk foolishly, to babble, or to speak nonsense. It can also be used as a noun, where "havers" (often in the plural) means nonsense or rubbish.

From the song ...

"And if I haver, yeah I know I'm gonna be, I'm gonna be the man who's havering to you"

That's potentially the theme for next week ...
Three songs about havering, especially when you've had a few 🍺's or 🍷's!!

So there you have it – three tunes that go well with your next Daunder!

Which was your favourite walking tune or is it one of the many others that could have been chosen? Or have you never heard of these artists?!?

What tunes are you sharing this Tuesday? Let me know in the comments below!

Note: The 3 YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.

I wish that you all have a brilliant happy fun and terrific Tuesday until we meet again enjoy your tunes 🎶🎵🎶

Thanks for visiting!

I think you are a day early! :) I've never listened to much Traffic, but I really dig Steve Winwood, so I probably should at some point!

(Edited)

Today is Monday…👀

Eddie… are you having a late life crisis? 🤣

My favourite is the second. Walking Man. Intro reminded me of SpongeBob SquarePants on Nickelodeon. I love his voice too. So very mature.

So…are you having a midlife crisis?

Yes, that's the great thing about being on a platform where there are people from all over the world, but for a moment I forgot what day it was today! Hahaha. I liked all three songs, I think I could walk a long way slowly with these pieces. Although I really liked Steve Winwood. He has a beautiful voice. A hug for you in advance, Ed.

I was going to say if you have daunder in there you have to include haver! The first one was regionally blocked sadly, but the second was great. He's not an artist I've listened to before, but that's not saying much these days...

And finish up with The Proclaimers... What a great band, Sunshine on Leith was a great album, I liked the whole thing! Maybe I should have a few beers and do some havering! lol

Great TTT this week, I loved it!
