Back to basics on a marvellous monday

So that's a wrap on the last Monday in February. In a few days time we will be in March. I swear the months just fly by faster and faster.

Thankfully the nights are starting to draw out. It is no longer dark at 4pm!!

My morning was spent glued to the radio, or more accurately listened to radio stations on Alexa.

We, when I saw we, I do of course mean the club hierarchy of my football club Rangers finally relieved the Belgian manager of Phillipe Clement of his duties.

After being beaten at home in the Scottish cup a couple of weeks ago we again lost at home. Pathetic sight to see. We have dropped far too many points.

He had to go, I mean the only reason it lasted this long was the lack of cash we have. Season upon season of bumbling transfers meant there was naff all to give him in the way of compensation.

How we are in the last 16 of the European League baffles me. We play on a Thursday but we don't turn up the other 6 days of the week.

We have gone back to basics.

A bit like my lunch...

Sometimes you just need to keep things simple. Go back to the basics and forget all the fancy frills. Afterall if you can't get the basics right, then how the fluff are you getting to get all the fancy stuff right!

You just look like an arsehole at times!

So the Rangers board have appointed until the end of the season a legend of a player, you captained to us to umpeen trophy wins. He is a Ranger through and through.

The foreign players come here and take our money, they don't give a crap about the club, it is just a way to move for more money etc.

It is the fans who work all week to go pay vast sums to watch overpaid prima donnas!

So this boy Barry Ferguson has next to no meaningful managerial experience, and his bringing in three of his teammates as coaches.

A steady ship, well he needs to get the passion into them as we have a date with the Turkish team Fenerbahce and José Mourinho in the Europa League.

But things are afoot, and it has come out that the club have been in talks with some arm of the San Francisco 49ers. So they could well become the major shareholder which would be good if they inject some cash.

But as they own Leeds United I think it is just to be a feeder club to Leeds!

I remember the days before TV killed the Scottish game when Rangers beat Leeds home and away in the battle of Britain!

Aye those were the days!

I had a delivery from Amazon to had to stay at home today, which was no hardship, but it meant I didn't get to the water and start my training for my 22 mile swim!

Ah well there is always a terrific tuesday after a marvellous monday!

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful end to February...

I can't believe how fast the year is flying by already myself. Before I know it I am going to be pulling the trailer home and getting it ready for the summer. Totally crazy. It is nice to see the days lasting a bit longer though. We are in the mid 40's right, now pretty soon we are going to get to the part of winter where all the snow melts and it's just a brown sloppy mess!

Yeah far too fast. Yeah longer daylight really lifts my mood for sure. I can't imagine having snow for any amount of time. I think the longest I remember was a couple of weeks!
The summer adventures will be here in a flash at this rate!

I don't mind the snow for a bit, but I am starting to get ready for the green to come back.

so sorry to hear what happen on Rangers, same thing happening to Arsenal, which the only trophy that they still have a chance of winning is Champions league, which i think well be a huge mountain to climb.

Ah well you know Arteta played for Rangers when he was the Spanish Under 21 captain, he played in the same Rangers team as our new interim manager Barry Ferguson!
Ah yes what did Arsenal do losing at home to West Ham. But they were always in trouble with not enough strikers in the squad. The champions league belongs to Real Madrid and you still have Liverpool in there.
There is always next year Eka for us!

I can imagine your disappointment and that of all fans! Here in Venezuela soccer is played, but the sport that moves is baseball. A lot of money is left at the box office and there are teams that do not have good coaches or good reinforcements. I remember once, my favorite team made a huge investment and recruited many good prospects. We won the championship and also won the Caribbean Series. Those were good times. Anyway, let's hope you have a good Tuesday and start your practices. I send you a hug

Though I can't relate to this football game I still wish your team to win😛😌. I always settle for simple things and mostly basic🙂‍↔️.
