The lion the eagle and the unicorn

RIght let's get this straight. This post is about lions and unicorns...

Yep but listen before we start, I need to to say Eagles...

The national animal of Nigeria is eagle .... hence the nickname of the Nigerian national football team ... The SuperEagles....

Random Fact number 1 ... The eagle is the national animal of Nigeria!

Do you know the national animal of your country?

I digress, well that is because it is only polite to involve the community to which you are posting in!

I have been called a white Nigerian especially with some of the dishes that I cook, however whilst I worked in Nigeria I don't recollect seeing any eagles!

What have unicorns and lions got to do with the UK?

Yes unicorns are real animals and yes they fluffing exist!!!!

I am not going to give you a big history lesson about Scotland and England and how those two countries became Great Britain, that is for another day...

The national animal of England is the LION

Their football team the three lions, football is not coming home if you ask me hehe!

Okay so a lion is a pretty ferocious animal.

Random Fact number 2 ... The lion is the national animal of England!

The national animal of Scotland is the UNICORN

Yes it is reall

Random Fact number 3 ... The unicorn is the national animal of Scotland!

The Royals decided that the lion would be the national animal of England, but nobody really knows how the unicorn ended up being the national animal of Scotland.

It is often assumed that because Scotland and England were mortal enemies then the unicorn was chosen as the unicorn and lions are mortal enemies.

However that has not really been proven.

I like the romantic notion of it, so that is what I say to people.
