Why's my house always a mess after I get back from a party when creatures like Finns exist?

Finns are meant to keep their human’s home in order. They bring peace and tidiness but this one Finn called Finnick, which the story revolves around, hates the idea of humans. In his home, whenever humans show up, he pulls up frightening stunts that make them think the house is haunted, making them move out without seeking logical explanations.

This continues until a young girl named Christine and her family move into the house. Finnick is pissed off as usual, and wants them out so badly.

One day, when Christine's parents are out, Finnick throws things around, jam doors, flips on and off the lights, etc. Christine at first is startled but she's not one to forget everything and run but one who actually confronts the situation as she thinks there's always a logical explanation to everything that seems supernatural. Without fear, she follows the invisible creatures movement and soon enough grabs it in a bad spot which makes her end with its fur in her hands. Now with its fur, she's able to see it and this leaves the Finn bewildered.

Finnick asks for his fur back but Christine uses the opportunity to strike a deal with him.

Berg, the town they lived in was being terrorized by an unknown villain. One that wasn't visible to the human eyes and to catch him, Christine needs Finnick’s help. He doesn't buy the idea at first until she tells him of the repercussions if they don't act fast. The repercussions included the Finns being totally wiped out and their homes lost.

My Review and Rating

It's my first time watching a Russian production. Surprisingly, it wasn't sub-par. I enjoyed it due to its mysterious nature, suspense and the near gripping effect it had on me. I also loved Christine's bravery. Her choice of seeking logical explanations to things that seemed otherworldly is very didactic. Those scenes that had her talking about logic made me have a rethink on things I thought were beyond my understanding.

I also love the idea of Finns.

The other Finns in the film loved their humans but Finnick hated the ones that came to him because he thought them to be extra chaotic. I don't blame him though, he kept getting his house rented out to the wrong people.

Another thing I enjoyed seeing was Finn and Christine coming together to solve the mystery of who was behind the terror happening in Berg town.

The film is colorful, with exciting characters and a soundtrack that suits the sequence of events. I don't know if Finns really exist or if it was stemmed out of the writer's imagination but I'd love those creatures in my home. I may be delusional but coming home from a party to see the room I scattered, properly arranged would be really nice.

This animated film is a Russian production. Directed by Denis Chernov. Rating this one a solid 4.5/5. Highly recommended for the family.
