Triple Celebration with My Best Friend's Family... <3

My male best friend has helped us a lot when our house was flooded last month. You can say he's my personal 911, and I'm always really grateful for that. He's also the one who took me, my mom and our dogs to our new home in the countryside along with some of our things.

Usually, he and his family visits us during Christmas. However, we live farther than before. His wife (who's also a good friend of mine) wanted to visit us as well since she couldn't come on the day we moved. It's both their day off today, so they came over.

Actually, it's their 7th Wedding anniversary... and they decided to spend the day with us in our new place. It's also sort of our late Christmas celebration together, as well as an early New Year celebration. It's a triple celebration with them! ^^

My family and I prepared a simple dish and snack for them, but they actually came with a bunch of food for us to share. It's just amazing how they're willing to travel for around 2 hours just to celebrate with us. My best friend and his wife are like my siblings... and I love how they also show their love to my parents as if they were their own.

My godson, Navee, is like a ball of sunshine that's full of energy and happiness. He has always enjoyed spending time with us. He enjoyed too much today that he didn't want to go home soon. hahaha They could have stayed overnight, but my best friend needs to work tomorrow.

However, they plan to visit again... and by that time, they're going to stay overnight. We have a much bigger space now... though they'd need to bring their own mattresses and pillows since we lost ours in the flood. hahaha But the thought of spending more time with them is making me feel so excited!

They enjoyed staying in our new place. It's a great escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. So, if they're looking for a place to refresh their minds, then they always have a place here.

We're all very excited to let Navee experience various things here, too... When we finally start with our garden, and especially when it's time to harvest some vegetables, we'd like him to try and enjoy it as well. My best friend also grew up enjoying the outdoors, so he wants his son to experience it.

It was a short visit, but we all had a great time. We caught up with each other, shared delicious food, and planned for the things we'll do in our next get-together.

Being able to spend time with the people you cherish is a blessing in itself. I certainly look gorward to having more of this next year.
