Totoro ft. Susuwatari Border on My Wall... (part 1)

Recently, I shared a post regarding my ART WALL, and I mentioned that I'd have to divide it into two parts: the small paintings on the upper half and some random anime-related stuff below, which I'd directly paint on the wall. To make a distinction, I decided to create a border between them. And this was what I came up with.

It's actually not finished yet. I'm going to add some more cute characters on the line when I have more time. For now, I'm taking a rest since I'm working tonight. However, I'd like to share what I've worked on earlier today after my 30-minute class. Let's check out some of the progress shots I took. :)

Can you see it? I lightly did a sketch of Totoro on the wall. My wall isn't looking good, that's why I wanted to make it look better through art and anime. :)

I then outlined it using black acrylic paint. It was cute enough as a border, but I wanted to add more... and also, color Totoro because I messed up on his face. I accidentally put black paint near his ear... :) Also, I really wanted to make some susuwatari or wandering soot. They're those black little balls you see in Totoro and Spirited Away. I think they're so cute.

I made some on each end of the line. Ahhhh... they're so cute. I'll make more of them, perhaps near the corner of my loft bed in the future, but I'm thinking of getting a glow-in-the-dark paint for it. hahah We'll see... for now, this bunch is enough.

After mixing some acrylic paint, I colored Totoro... I also added one chibi-Totoro on top of his head. I plan to make more chibi Totoro travelling the line and heading in his direction, alongside some other cute Ghibli characters. Perhaps, I'll do it next weekend. :)

As I was moving around, I accidentally put black paint on the wall near the light switch in my room, so I made a cute susuwatari. This time, it's the susuwatari from Spirited Away. It's so cuuuute!

I hope to have more time to paint my wall... I'm planning to do chibi anime doodles on the lower part of the wall. Of course, I'll have to make small paintings to fill in the upper wall as well. :) It'll take time, but I'll definitely achieve it before the year ends. ^^

So, what do you think of this Totoro ft. Susuwatari Border?
I'll end this post here. Thanks for reading, and see you around! Happy Easter, everyone! (^^,)/

This Totoro wall with those sneaky little soot balls is pure Ghibli magic! Totoro looks like he's so innocent while the soots are totally up to no good-- probably plotting their nezt mischief! I love howbthey're peeking out from corners like "you didn't see us"! It's cute, quirky, and feels like stepping into a secret scene only Ghibli fans know exist. Total vibe. Thank you for creating this. 🩷🩷🩷

Ahhhhh it's cute! I remember having an art wall before, but now I've moved to another bed so I took it down. Seeing this made me think if I should start making one again..but I'm still in my art slump so maybe in the future I will try—when I get better haha >_<

hahah It would take time for the wall to finish, but will share updates from time to time...

Right? It's so cute! I might add some stuff in random places from now on. XD

Das war alles sehr cool. Mir gefällt, wie du alles an der Wand gestaltet hast. Das gibt dem Ganzen einen schönen Hauch von Unschuld. : p

Yay!!! I'm glad to know that.
Yeah... it serves as a motivation for me to create something. Sometimes, I'm too lazy to paint, but it's one of my goals this year, so I might as well take it more seriously. It's enjoyable, though. :)
