QUESTISM (Webtoon)

It's time for me to share another Webtoon that I've read over the past several weeks. Last time, it was BL... but this time, I'm going to share another Webtoon under the action and supernatural genres. It's called QUESTISM, also known as Quest Jisang Juui or Quest Supremacy.

It's serialized under Naver Webtoon, so you can easily read it either on the website or the app. It's already completed with 174 chapters. Let me tell you about it. :)

The main character, Suhyeon Kim, is a gaming geek who hates going to school. It's not only because he doesn't like studying, but it's mostly because he's being bullied every day by his classmates. Gaming, especially RPG quest games, is his escape from reality.

He enjoys the virtual world more than the real world, and he wishes his life were like that of the RPG character. And guess what? Wish granted!!! ^^

As if someone had heard his wish and granted it, a quest window suddenly appeared in front of him. Although skeptical at first, he thought he had nothing to lose, and so he accepted it.

The trial quest of apologizing to his mom earned him a gold card, which made him grow 1.2 inches taller. That was just the start. He had to complete quest after quest to gain more rewards. However, not doing the quest would mean he's going to lose everything he's earned up to this point.

So he was forced to do them... and somehow, the quests transformed him from the school's weakest, to being its top. He didn't really aim to be one, though. However, as he climbed higher, he slowly accepted the goals that the quest had been leading him to.

So, how far will he make it? Curious? Read it to know more about it~!!!

One thing that made me enjoy Questism more is the fact that it's a spin-off of Lookism. It made me excited to see some of my favorite characters from Lookism make an appearance in Questism. The story might not be totally related, but the location and characters have a slight connection.

If you're a Lookism fan and haven't read Questism yet, I really recommend it. Since I've been following Lookism for a long time, I could easily spot the references and other stuff... and simply that experience made reading Questism even more fun.

Since reading Lookism, Viral Hit, and other similar Webtoons, I've been into stories with characters practicing various martial arts. It's so fun and exciting to watch. Questism is the same, although it came with a little twist, as the main character can automatically gain martial arts knowledge and skills and level them up through quests.

There are also a bunch of interesting characters in this Webtoon. I must say, my favorites are Gukja (the MC's best friend who used to be bullied with him) and Haru (an androgynous-looking character).

I like Gukja because of his character development and the fact that he's related to Lookism's Gun (one of my faves whom I have a love-hate feeling towards). But more than the Yamazaki Style Kyokushin Karate, I really enjoy when he does Systema and eff up at times. He's so funny!!! And his glow up after the timeskip was so 😍😍😍...

As for Haru, I just love pretty boys, and he's also related to Lookism's Johan (another of my faves). But really, Haru is just so pretty (even more than the female characters) and the way he does Capoeira is so cool. It fits him so well. <3

There are a lot of other interesting characters as well... and a bunch of really good-looking ones (thanks to the amazing art style), and crazy ones (thanks to the author who created them)! I love them both! ^^

Whenever the main character appears in his tank top, things are about to get crazy. hahah

I really enjoyed reading this Webtoon. It's funny, exciting, moving, and all the other emotions... It's there! So, if you're looking for a completed and fun Webtoon to read, check this one out if you haven't already. :) I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
