Interesting Insects, Worms, and the like Around Our New Place

My heart for photography has evolved even more since we transferred here to the countryside. There are a lot of interesting subjects to take photos of. I'm only using my smartphone (RealMe 8 Pro) in capturing them, but it's more than enough for me. Though I'm still hoping to get a much better camera in the future.

While my mom and some of our relatives (mostly kids) were working on clearing a certain area by the house for our future garden, I found a really huge caterpillar and immediately took some photos of it.

Our youngest, whom we call "Bibing," got really curious about what I was doing. I showed him the huge caterpillar, and he asked me if there were others like it. I told him there must be more in the area and told him that we should look for them together, so I can take photos of them. Aside from being fascinated by them in real life, he enjoyed looking at the photos I took.

Because of that, he tried to find a lot of insects and other stuff around... then, he'd poke me and guide me to the direction slowly. He's so cute... Anyway, here are some more of our finds!

I didn't know what this insect is called, but when I used Google lens, I found out that it's called a red cotton stainer. Its color is quite attractive, though.

I took some more photos of the other stuff Bibing pointed at. However, aside from the huge caterpillar, the rest were really tiny, so I had to zoom in. There's a macro photography option on my phone, but I don't really like its quality. hahaha

Anyway, I had a lot of fun taking photos of insects as well as exploring the place with my cute little nephew. hahaha He could easily find them!

I'll take more photos in the coming days, so please look forward to checking them out.

I'll end this post here for now. I hope you enjoyed the photos I took as much as I did when taking them. See you around! (^^,)/

What a beautiful variety of species. The caterpillar is gigantic, and this grasshopper looks stunning.

I hate, I mean, I have both hatred and phobia for caterpillars. When I saw this post, I nearly fainted. Ahh, we have them here in bigger quantity.

Do you know that certain set of people do eat it?

I'm so sorry about that... my close friend from high school also hates it, so we used to tease her until she cried. We were such good friends. hahaha

I know people who like chichaworms, but not caterpillars...
