A Scenery of Hope (Watercolor Art)

In my previous post, I unboxed the art materials I ordered online, which I thought had been lost somewhere in the flood. hahaha Obviously, they weren't, so I tried them out yesterday.

I don't have a lot of watercolor paper, just like I used to, so I cut one paper into two.

I lightly separated the parts for the sky, sea, and shore with a pencil before I started painting...

I did it lightly at first and just adjusted and added more details later.

I didn't draw the sun, but I added yellow parts in the sky that are seeping through the clouds...

I used acrylic paint for the waves to add texture and make them stand out. I also added my signature in the corner using a gel pen. The room we're staying in isn't very well lit, so I took more photos by the balcony door. Here they are!

And that's what I made yesterday. It's been a while since I've seen the sea. Even though we were close to the sea, our purpose was to go to a nearby shop to get some stuff for our temporary place.

Maybe one of these days, I'll go to the beach and appreciate the sea... especially the sunrise again. It's also not far from here, maybe a good 15-minute walk away, just like from our place.
