A Grand Ride!

Well it's not a rich mans luxurious car that much is a fact! BUT it sure as hell is a car that drives like a dream! Seriously! Volvo is just top of the range when it comes down to quality and endurance!

With that said I haven't worked on a Volvo in almost three years! That just feels completely insane if you ask me! And in my time here I have worked on maybe four of them? Including this one!

Now these aren't exactly new to me but I can say that they are fun to work on! Mainly because I already know the in's and out's of them! YEAHP! It's basically a FORD!

A Lot Screams Ford!

Mostly everything screams FORD! The engine cover! The air intake pipe just above the cover and almost everything else out there! The Battery box and air box both along with the fuse box! They all remind me of the DCT 450 transmission in the Kuga's and I bet you that is what it has fitted!

I find it weird that the DCT450 in the Volvo's don't break nearly as much!

Let's get cracking and rip this tranny out of there!

This is surprising! The Volvo is a hot mess under the engine cover as well! I thought it was only Ford that did that! It appears to be not the case!

There She Is!

There is what we seek! The transmission! AHHH and I was damn right on the fact that it was a Ford transmission! Okay laughs I can't say that if I knew it before hand!

What I can say about Volvo is that they made it much neater on the underside than they did on the upside! It's a increase from the Kuga which is literally a hotmess underneath! Frikkin boost pipes and everything running around below!

Hectic stuff! But let's not waste anymore time now let's start pulling!

It Was A Quick One!

Now without a doubt they didn't add all the crap on the sub-frame that Ford does! This one I didn't even have to touch a bolt on the sub-frame of the vehicle! NOT AT ALL!

That never happens when removing one of these transmissions!

Well I have it out now and let's rip this transmission apart! I wont mind seeing how hard it is to fit the transmission back in! With Ford it is a slight fuckup xD!

Another one bites the dust!
