The Witcher 3 Saga: A Story Of Love And A Djinn

Well Hello There Fellow Gamers And Hivers!

In the last episode of The Witcher 3 Saga both Geralt and Yennefer went deep into the forests of Skellige where they went in search of the cataclysmic explosion caused by Ciri. This all was one big mess of a story to say the least, they stole the Mask of Uruboros from Ermion's laboratory and of course they planned on using it.

The Mask of Uruboros is a magical enchanted item allowing the user to peek into the past. The origins of it has long been a legend to the Skelligers and also the myths surrounding the mask. It is said that if the mask was ever used the seas would rise and drown all the living! This didn't stop Yennefer from using it, after all if they didn't find Ciri all of humanity would perish anyways.

The Wild Hunt is close and a war is coming!

Humbly Requested.

After peering into the past with the Mask of Uruboros we found out what we could about what happened, it was clear that the Wild Hunt was who chased them through the woods! Yennefer asked me to meet up with her in Larvik.

From the sound of it, this didn't really have anything to do with Ciri or even finding Ciri. This had something to do with a Djinn. Geralt went none the less and waited through out the night for her.

Now if there is one thing that Yennefer knows I'll never do is say no to her.

Before I even agreed on this plan of her she already arranged the transport and everything! We were to locate a Djinn but first we had to find its master's shipwreck somewhere off the coast of Skellige.

There we were with Yennefer at the helm of our sturdy little boat! Oh wait you thought the big ship was ours? Well it wouldn't make much sense sailing a proper ship into seawreck alley right?

Of-course now it all makes sense, that's why Yennefer took the helm of the ship! She certainly planned this out carefully! She would have control over the ship and Geralt would need to dive down below the murky waters and rummage through whatever the hell was left behind.

Heck Geralt barely had any idea of what he really needed to look for!

As always, he clearly didn't mind doing anything at all for Yennefer! How could he possibly say no?

It's Always The Last Place You Look!

Geralt had little hope of recovering something that would lead them into some kind of direction but he did manage to find something! One half of a tablet or something of the sorts!_

Yennefer claims that she can use it to locate the other half to within a dozen yards! Quite impressive! Although were would the other half be? Halfway across the world judging from the size of the crater the teleportation left in the ocean bed!

To The Top Of The Mountains!

Quite literally! I mean who could blame the mage for asking this?

It was likely that they got caught in a storm and out of desperation he must have asked the Djinn to teleport them out of there, anywhere, anywhere but where they were! Even a mountain top and the Djinn must have taken it up quite literally!

At the very least they had a view! An amazing view at that too!

Locked In Love!

Yennefer only told Geralt half of the truth!

The real reason why Yennefer wanted to find this Djinn was to ask it to break a spell another Djinn placed. Because only a Djinn can break another Djinn's spell!

Here's what Yennefer never told Geralt, she wanted to break the spell that Geralt asked a Djinn to place a great many years ago. He wasn't as keen on it as Yennefer was but she wanted to know if the feeling would still last.

If they would still love one another after they broke the Djinn's spell!

After summoning the Djinn he showed and well I wont say that was the end of that at all!

It was a long and hard fight to contain the Djinn albeit much easier than the first time the two of them captured a Djinn together. It was a little more destructive than this fight! Well here they were on mountain top, nothing but air in the way of the magic pulses being thrown around!

Before they knew it the fight was over and the Djinn agreed to the terms and afterwards he was freed!

And so they sat still in love as the day they met, it would seem the Djinn tricked them all those years back!

The story of the Djinn and the spell adds depth to the game's narrative and showcases the complexity of their relationship. I look forward to try this game soon.

That can be debated, because the wish is never actually told to us. A lot of people think that the wish that geralt muttered to save him and Yennifer was that there fates would be entwined. As when Geralt does die in the books ( Lady of the Lake) Yennifer dies beside him due to the exhaustion caused by trying to save his life.

Ahh damn broh, I had no idea they died in the books 😂 but I suppose I have to get my hands on them sometime...I'm drawing closer to the end of my GoT book series and I'll need something after..

Although it's cool knowing that, how much different are the games from the books?

A lot! The books are more focused on Geralt trying to find Ciri, and protect her rather than fighting monsters. If you played the first game at the start Geralt finds himself outside of Kaer Morhen with no memory. In TW2 he learns that while in his heaven ( Ciri puts both Geralt and Yenns body in a boat and brings them to the malus island) the Wild Hunt invaded and kidnapped Yennifer, in an attempt to find Ciri ( the wild hunt going after ciri is explained in the books). Geralt spent months tracking down the wild hunt with three other Witchers from the school of the Viper, one of which was Letho of Gullet. Geralt eventually finds the wild hunt and the witchers go up against them but for everyone they killed two took their place. In order to save Yenn Geralt made a deal with Eredin, his soul for yennifer's, and Eredin agreed, erasing Geralt's memory.

In a certain mission in TW3 it's explained that Ciri found out about Geralt's fate and battled Eredin, although it was a draw, Ciri bought enough time to teleport Geralt outside of Kaer Morhen which is why he was there during the start of the first game.
