The Story Of Thushima: Tradition, Courage And Honor!

Well Hello There Fellow Gamers And Hivers!
After A Long Wait!
Finally! Dangit, finally! I grabbed this game on a special! I think I must have waited two or three years to patch this to my library! Given I did buy it a few weeks back already and only starting my Samurai journey now!
Albeit I have to admit that playing this game way back when it was released must have been something wild! Jumping into the aesthetics of a game like this gives me some sort of nostalgic feeling that I can't really pin down!
Maybe I just really and I mean really admire the look of it!

Deep Into It!
Now I didn't choose a difficult setting for this run through because I am more here for the story than for the grind of it! The grind is nice but that can happen the next run. I also chose the cinematic style with the Japanese language spoken in the game, with some English subtitles of course!
Other wise it might get a little too confusing at times right!
But heck does this not look like it could be one hell of a good story?

The Story Of The Ghosts Of Thushima!
Now this is where this gets a whole lot more exciting, the fact that this game is based of a real story. I wouldn't say it's exactly correct as to how the game is being played but I do know that the story of this is real and happened late in the 12th century!
In a time when men still stood up for what they believed! In a time when men still died for what they loved!
This is going to be absolutely cracking!

No Honor Among Hounds!
I think it's pretty safe to say that most people in the gaming spectrum knows the opening scene of Ghost of Thushima!
It would also be safe to say that they led with the best introduction into this type of game! Grimm and eerie right from the start! The stage has been set and it is clear that the Samurai's are the weaker force in this! Facing off against thousands and thousands of Mongol battle hardened slayers!

And Just like the war has officially begun!

The Charge Of Bravery And Honor.
After their finest Samurai was slain, the remaining Samurai initiated a charge that would lead them to sure destruction!
What choice did they have? They had to fight, these were men of honor and dignity and bowing was not in them! Men who would rather die on their feet than live on their knees!
Warriors with honor!

A Charge that was met with total chaos and destruction! A charge that must mean the end of the Samurai lines all together!

By Some Miracle!
Somehow someone has been fighting to keep me alive! In times like these? With warriors running rampant across the country side?
How did I survive this madness?

The Lady Masako Adachi!
This is the person who has treated my wounds and kept me alive for this long!
After waking up I ventured into the village in search for my Katana when I ran into Lady Masako who then again saved my life!
This is no mere Lady, this is a woman dead set on vengeance!

Moving through the village wasn't at all a hard task, these mongol warriors have been celebrating their wins for too long already, they have gotten lazy to look out for enemies!
The villages we can reclaim easily, it's the castles that I am worried about!

So It Begins!
I finally managed to get back my sword! Their was some cut scenes in between everything that happened and some flash backs but that's all intro material right.
Having my sword and armor back means that I can join the fight again and slay some mongols the old fashioned style! Hack and slash! LOVING THIS!

Castle Kanada!
Myself and Lady Masako managed to cross the half the island and make it all the way to Kanada Castle which was heavily held by mongol warriors!
They were celebrating their victories and we were going to impose on that!
I didn't venture too far into the castle before something decided to bug out on the pc and left me hanging!
Fear not for the next story will take off right where we left it!

Remember To Keep On Gaming Like You've Only Got One Life Left!

This game looks like a movie, GOD, the graphics are amazing. And what you said about the story really captures the era it represents. It reminded me of Kurosawa's films.
