It Came As A Surprise. Who Knew!
Well Hello There Fellow Technicians And Hivers!
Finally It Came As A Surprise!*
Okay so we done did the tear down on this one and we decided to give it a proper fix by replacing all of the boost pipes on it. The reason for this is because it's relatives to the Bossman. What we didn't expect was that they wanted to sell the car!
Laughs, well they only wanted the easiest and cheapest fix... but done properly of course, not some wack job.
They do want it to stay alive even though it has seen its fair share of dirt roads tangled up with mud and rainy weather! A life of HARD punishment, by the looks of it. It did last for quite a good time though, but then again when the time is nigh, the time is nigh!
There Was Some Quality Behind It!
Okay so I didn't exactly get a photo of the intercooler itself, I only caught it in the pictures, so I do have to mention that we did give the intercooler a proper and massive cleaner at the right guys. Pressure tested and cleaned and it is ready to eat out the warm air in the system!
Along with that we cleaned all of the boost pipe also, before re-fitting them back into the vehicle. This might actually not be a bad buy for me. But then again I'm not too sure how it'll handle the long road, I don't want it overheating on me. I'll pass!
No it's not an original manufacturer part this, just a piece of boost pipe.
What A Thing!
Can you believe it's this much of a teardown just to get to the intercooler, like the entire front bumper has to be removed!
I'm sure some folks have tried and messed up many a good bumper before! That's not my worries though, I'd much rather remove it than mess it up real bad. But there is no way though... seriously it's a mess down there!
I did want to give this vehicle a good and clean pressure wash with water afterwards but bossman said no to that and I do understand why, but it's always nice to get a vehicle clean afterwards, but it's wasting time now!
Sheesh!
Okay I didn't at all think it was going to come out this beautifull, seriously!
Nah I'll be honest it might just be the lighting that affects the shinyness of it! Laughs! If you stand next to it you'll see the difference right away!
But she's good to go.... Oh wait.... I don't think Bossman has tested this one yet. Be sure to tell him on the Mondays! Don't want to forget that and send the guy home with a broken car and have him stranded beside the road!
That would seriously not be good!
Anyways! Let's keep the wheels on turning!

You've had a real journey with that car bruv. It's impressive how much effort goes into keeping it running smoothly despite all the wear and tear.
Despite all the wear and tear it has been maintained quite well, I can't say that for a lot of cars running the off-roads!
