Impressed By JAGUAR! (Finishing Up The Build!)

Well Hello There Fellow Technicians And Hivers!

Finally What We've Been Waiting For!

Okay honestly we've not waiting that long for it, it did arrive yesterday already! But we've been busy with a bunch of other stuff during that time!

Now this is a very easy fix! And I mean easy! Small problems... Huge Work... HUGE Effect!

These bushes wearing out creates a massive pressure loss inside the transmission and that's going for one alone! The fact that all of them are worn out means that this thing will go nowhere! I wonder how it even drove in the first place!

The Valve-Body!

Preparing the valve body was something I could have done in the mean time! Now as I said we've been real busy! (I did however get to it eventually but we are still waiting for those parts!

There isn't much work needed on the valve body to be honest, other than a thorough cleaning and rinsing of the solenoids, which I already did!

One thing I have noticed and this I have never seen in my five years as a technician!

NEVER!

These small pressure pistons are absolutely flat pressed! Imagine that!

WE can replaced them when the parts arrive but damned I am slightly impressed with Jaguar! This thing still drove! And the fact that it had oil loss and didn't fuck everything up inside is quite amazing!

The major part on the valve body that we need to wait for is the splitting plate with all the channel changes on it, when splitting it you tend to tear of the seals on it and then you cant re-use it!

Ford made an improvement onto this one at the very least!

Now Comes The Fun Part!

This is genuinely fun! Hitting out the old worn bushes and replacing them!

That feeling of the clearances being just right is something! That feels of fixing something that was faulty! I love that! Gives a man a sense of pride and joy and for these things I have a lot of pride and joy

Hitting the bush on just the right place to make it split out! You'll get bloaks that butcher that thing to bits before getting it out of its place!!

Delicate hard love is actually a thing! I know that sounds weird!

Here is the catch! To always make sure the bushes infact do have enough clearance between the shafts and the inner wall of the bush!

Don't just build the transmission and hope for the best! That will get you some nice rotten candy!

A 2 minute test is all that is needed!

Where Luck Plays A Part (For The Client At-least!)

Some bushes can't be replaced, then you need to get an entire new drum for the transmission! Oh and that is pricey! That is real pricey! We tend to just buy them a scarp box to replace the one part!

Luckily this one is fine!

Also a never replace!

We almost never replace these bushes. Well we have never replaced them but since this is such a worn transmission we can replace them! Well I thought it best to replace this!

Rather be safe than sorry right?

We're also swapping out the entire input shaft and stator shaft!

When a transmission start to lose oil pressure they are the first to go but even so the wear is not much on them at all!

So to be extra safe again we swap this!

Now we've gotten the parts but we still need to get these parts! We thought we had an extra clutch pack and we actually didn't!

But one thing is certain we can't re-use that clutch pack!

What a beautifull pump this is! I'm super stoked that it did not get any damage at all!

Like legitly NONE!

That says a lot! On all the Fords these are buggered up 100%!

The Reason It Is Stronger!

This is where Ford slacked! They added a bush there and in my honest opinion the bush wears out! The roller bearing can just go on rolling forever with the right oil supply!

So another win for JAGUAR on this one right! Another big win!
Hopefully monday we can get this build closed!
