Finally Something Worth The Effort!
Well Hello There Horsepower Lovers!!
Another Valve Body!
Oh boy oh boy this thing had us jumping around like wild geese! Seriously! At some point we started thinking that we were beyond the point of stupidity!
HEH AT-LEAST we figured it out!
It's a hard game, the game we play! Automatics ain't your friend and they will sure as hell never ever be! Just when you think you've got this covered they will come around the back corner and hit you so hard you'd want to drop it all and run away to recover! NAH there ain't none of that!
This was a short lived problem, but the effort we put in to get this problem sorted out! Sheeeeeeesssshhhhh!
Another valve body problem, we just need to check it out and see if everything is indeed okay inside it!
A Learning Curve!
Extra work? NAHHHHH it's just a longer route to actually learn something valuable! Am I right? Even if the pain is not wanted we will take it chew it up and make use of it!
If we didn't go through all the effort I would never have known that a solenoid like this existed! It's whack! So the fancy new cars with the round park button and stuff, (Real hard to explain that one! Should have gotten a photo instead!)
Well they don't have a link tied to the transmission so it has to be solenoid controlled or electrically! Of-course both are the same thing right! The solenoid cant work without power!
BUT!
Now it makes sense how these things can grab and release the shifter! Quite interesting!
Not Needed!
Well we made a bulk of work for something very small but oh so very hidden!
We removed the entire transmission but as I said so worth it! It made what I needed to do to find the problem so much easier! SO MUCH!
Besides now we know the transmission doesn't have any mechanical failure and that's cool! It's also cleaned out thoroughly and everything is inspected! HAH nice the client gets that for free! The fault was on our side!
But First The Wiring!
Okay so before I go ahead and re-fit that transmission I think it wise to actually search for the problem in the wiring! This was our last hope and dang what luck do we have that the problem in fact did lie on the wiring side!
Not a fan of wiring! I mean it can teach me a great deal and it always does but having to dig into a ton of wiring looms! That is really no fun at all! NO FUN!
Fun or NOT it has to be done right? It just has to be done!
(I have never been so ecstatic to find the fault on something! To fix it then and have the car running smoothly is a feeling that just can't be put into words! Blessed I'd say!)
