Where Time Paused and Lattes Flowed: Reunion at Beaurih Café!
Friendships often begin in the most unexpected places — and for us, it all started within the walls of Columban College, where we pursued our Master's degrees. It was in this chapter of our academic journey that I met Joemet, Angel, and Mariz — three individuals who would soon become more than just classmates. They became my constants, my cheerleaders, and my second family.
Joemet brought laughter and light-heartedness to even the most stressful days. Angel, with her calm and nurturing personality, often reminded us to take things one step at a time. Mariz, ever so thoughtful and sharp, always had the right advice and a listening ear. And together, we found balance — each of us contributing something unique that made our bond stronger.
Looking back, we came to Columban College to earn a degree, but we left with something even more valuable — a friendship that continues to inspire, uplift, and remind us that life is better when you have people who walk the journey with you.
After years of being apart — separated by work, responsibilities, and the twists of life — we finally saw each other again. Joemet, Angel, Mariz, and I once shared unforgettable moments during our Master's studies at Columban College. However, as time passed, we each followed our paths, pursuing careers, building lives, and facing personal challenges.
A Sweet Reunion at Beaurih Café
After years of being apart due to work and personal commitments, the long-awaited reunion finally happened. Joemet, Angel, Mariz, and I — friends since our Masteral days at Columban College — decided it was time to pause our busy lives and reconnect. And what better place to do it than over coffee?
We chose Beaurih Café, a cozy little spot tucked in San Miguel, San Antonio- known for its wide variety of coffee flavors, both hot and cold; Beaurih Café was the perfect place for our catch-up. Each of us picked our favorite drinks — from iced blends to warm, comforting brews — and settled into the cozy ambiance that made the conversation flow easily.
The moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm aroma of coffee and the soft hum of laughter and conversation — the perfect setting for catching up on years we'd missed.
As we sat around the table, sipping our drinks and sharing stories, it felt like no time had passed. We laughed about our old school memories, shared our present lives, and enjoyed each other's company, just as we used to.
Still, no matter how long we were apart, the bond we built never faded.
The moment we reunited, it felt like no time had passed at all. Laughter came easily, stories flowed endlessly, and the warmth of our friendship filled the room. We discussed where life had taken us — the highs, the struggles, and the lessons we've learned along the way.
It was more than just a catch-up. It was a reminder of how rare and beautiful true friendship is — the kind that picks up right where it left off.
Though our lives may take us in different directions again, one thing is sure: we'll always find our way back to each other. Because real friendship doesn't fade with time — it grows stronger.
