Lessons to my Childhood self
The older we become the more experience we are able to gather. As an adult, I have so many things to tell my childhood self, so many morals and lessons I have learnt over the course of being alive.
Growing up and realizing the world was quite different from how I had imagined it to be as a little boy still baffles me to this day. I have so many unanswered questions about how my life turned out the way it did. Questions that pops in once in a while in my head.

One of the things I would tell my childhood self is to be brave. The world doesn't celebrate cowardice nor does it celebrate weaklings. You can’t go anywhere by being in your shell and staying clear of whatever has the potential to bring you to the limelight. I will tell my childhood self to be more outspoken, there's no gain in keeping quiet all the time. Whatever you desire to do, go for it!
I will tell my younger self to be able to manage school and social activities. Studying is rewarding no doubt but having a social life that allows you to meet and connect with people is rewarding in its own way too. Information is key and having access to the plethora of information out there can enable you to rise higher in life. It increases your pace if I must say. Friends are not entirely distractions as I thought, they are good friends that desire to see you succeed, connecting with such people will be truly helpful.
Again, I would tell my older self to learn not to throw in the towel so fast. It's easy to give up but very hard to be resilient. People who are resilient can go far as it's always difficult to tell them otherwise. Growing up, giving up was my go-to whenever I couldn't press further or whenever I felt stuck. If going down memory lane and I am able to have a one-on-one conversation with my childhood self, I will emphasize the importance of resilience.
If having a conversation with my childhood self would help fix all the years I had spent trying to fix various aspects of my life, I would gladly take the pain to make my childhood self understand what lies ahead for him and hopefully it changes a lot in the future.
Thank you for reading my Blog!
A lot of things we would tell our childhood selves about life and our personalities. Indeed, the world doesn't celebrate cowardice but bravery.
