Wednesday Walk small details on a walk in Fairhaven MA

Wednesday Walk small details on a walk in Fairhaven MA

This post if for Wednesday walk challenge
Any questions about the challenge read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)

I am glad to report this week I am sharign a walk from just a day ago, we had a nice day the temp climbed to 60F and was nice so I grabbed my camera bag and decided to head out for a walk, and drove to the neighboring city Fairhaven to take as stroll and get some new photos.

Now I perhaps should have rearranged the lens I took with me as I went with three lenses in my bag and it was a little heavy especially with my shoulder playing up at the moment, but as it happenned I used all three on my walk so glad I took them my shoulder not so much it was complaining to me for the rets of the day, but that said today is also a nice day so I may well head out again

But back to yesterdays walk, I went to Fairhaven has they have an area with some cool old buildings I wanted to get shots of.

But when I came to qusaickly edit soem photos to share in this post, I decided rather than going for shots of the buildings, I would focus on some of the cool details I saw on the walk, and will edit the other photos at some stage for a future post or three

Starting with these cool lights which were by the entrance to one of the shops there, a maritime related shop

Now I said earlier that Fairhaven was a city but its infact a town, as these lights are one the Town hall,i love old style lamps like these especially when I can get them with cool shadows as well

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Hello Mr. @tattoodjay, good morning.

What a beautiful place you visited! The neighboring town has some very interesting things to photograph. The antique lamp is truly beautiful.

Beautiful photographs.

Yes, spring is approaching, and temperatures are rising, even though there's still snow in Montreal. But it will be good to see a little green... Nice photos, especially for the Memento Mori style sundial.
Have a great day

Wow, those lamps really are impressive. Especially the ones on the city hall. It's crazy to think that they were probably all done by hand if they are the original ones.

It was wonderful to see you take that little walk! It sounds like you had a wonderful time enjoying the lovely weather and capturing some amazing details with your camera! It really highlights your passion for the field! Fairhaven is so charming and full of character! I really appreciate how you highlighted those little details instead of just the big picture. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of your work, especially those vintage lamps and the church!

These are cool shots Jay. I love old style lamps ... As for the hat.
Well over here, they just love to adorn Queen Victoria statues with orange traffic cones on her head.

It is much popular in Scotland. I know they do in London for New Year but here they do at any time, any statue you will find a drunk student clambering up to put a cone. I have to laugh when it goes viral that they fell while trying to put a cone on a statue!
