Wednesday Walk on Popes Island

Good Morning and have a great day, and for a change after recent mix ups I am actually sharing my Wednesday walk post on a Wednesday :)

This post if for Wednesday walk challenge
Any questions about the challenge read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)

And for the first Wednesday walk post, must like the last few last year, I am sharing a walk from back when it was warmer, this morning I just popped to the supermarket to pick up some things at 6AM, and boy with the wind it was bitter, far to cool for me and my old bones to be out for a photowalk.
So today I am sharing a few shots from a walk I took on Pope's Island back in May of last year, its a spot I occassionally visit for morning walks, its anice spot and is by the water, but I do prefer the walks by the water with beaches and such, but I do try and mix up my walks and this is a good spot to go to now and again

The New Bedford Rowing club has this big , hmmm what do I call it it's not a tent, but also not really a building, lets just go with they have this facility to store there canoes and such, and in the warmer months have a few out alonsige the tent

the island has a nbice green area, although it is bare in spots and can get muddy after rain, and add if the geese have visited, walking on the grass you don't want good shoes on :)

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

What a nice walk, I love especially the green areas and then the boats, what a marvel of colours. also the wind and cold is not healthy, take care of yourself!!!! Thank you very much for this walk, it's great!🤗

Looks like a Quonset hut to me. Just from the side view anyway. I think rowing would be interesting. Definitely something I am not in shape for. My niece was offered a spot on the Ohio State rowing team even though she had never done it before. They thought she had the physique for it.

I looke dit up and i think you may well be right with it being a Quonset hut
I did Kayaking when I was younger, but never rowing, for sure I am not in shape for it these days

My wife wants to get into kayaking. The problem is finding a way to transport them along with our travel trailer.

The green amid so much blue creates a perfect contrast; you have a wonderful view.

My mom lived in a home in Hawaii similar to what she described as the New Bedford Rowing Club tent. It had a classic semi-circular arch... quanset home!

love going out early to go for a walk, you can breathe pure air and if we are in cold times it is great, I love it but I am a little lazy to go so early. Your photos are sharp and beautiful. Greetings.
