Wednesday Walk Heritage State Park back in September

Wednesday Walk Heritage State Park back in September

This post is for Wednesday walk challenge
Any questions about the challenge, read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)

This walk was back in September, I think it was the last good walk in before I had the health issues that slowed me down. Great to be feeling good now, but not getting out for morning walks as it's too cold out there for me
But fortunately, well for me I know some wish the opposite , we havent had any snow yet other than a few flakes a couple of days, today it's getting fairly close we should get none but inland, not too far away, they may get between 3 to 6 inches
That morning I drove to Fall River and visited Heritage State park.

Fall River Heritage State Park is a history-themed public recreation area on the Taunton River in Fall River, Massachusetts. The state park encompasses 14 acres beside the Charles M. Braga Jr. Memorial Bridge on Battleship Cove, home of the World War II battleship USS Massachusetts

I do not normally edit things out of the photos I take except if its dust on my sensor, but I did for that first photo, there were a few yachts in the water between me and the Battleships, but with the long exposure they came out ghostly looking so I edited them out as I thought they distracted from the scene

IN this next shot along the walkway, which, as you can see, was wet and very slippery in parts that morning, they have setup one of those story board along the fence railings, I think its a cool idea to motivate young kids to get out for walks, to read and follow along the story while walking

Some of the yachts I mentioned early a couple a little ghostly but not to bad

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

What a beautiful place! The bridge has a great design and is an excellent piece of engineering. Keep getting better and stay warm.

With the first picture of your walk I was enchanted, because those reflections are beautiful. And now comes the snow, take care of yourself from the cold and then you can enjoy beautiful walks. Take care of yourself! Thank you for these views, they are so beautiful!

Hello dear friend @tattoodjay

It's great to hear you're feeling much better, and you're doing the right thing by staying indoors during these very cold days.

Stay warm.

What a beautiful place for a Wednesday walk. Excellent shots.

Have a great day!

I actually said "wow" out loud.

Really hard to get those colours in lower light. Beautifully done.

And the boats and colours of the sky.

I came to see all the photos of the snow up North and found this.

Well done for all of your hard work and glad to see you still making and sharing

How wonderful is the reflection of the red lamps and the lights from the ship on the water! Kudos for the way you capture the splendor, @tattoodjay!

That first shot is amazing, I can see why you edited out the extra yachts. I love old battleships, they really are amazing to visit. Awesome pictures, and the morning blue in the second one is phenomenal!

I understand that feeling, maybe one of these days during the winter when you're out for an afternoon stroll!

yeah thats what I am planning for, with my lung issues after TB i set myself a goal a couple of years back to be sensible and not go out for walks if the temp is 45 or lower, as when I did go out when it was colder i Often got chest issues, but this past few weeks the temp hasnt even got close to 45
