Wednesday Walk Buttonwood Park

Wednesday Walk Buttonwood Park

This post if for Wednesday walk challenge
Any questions about the challenge read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)

And yet again its another week where the only walking i have got done is around the house, still gettign my steps in, starting each day walking in circle sin our sunroom for a while to get at least 8K steps in, and then with other walking around the house during the day getting 10K steps in every day

So for today I decided to share some shots from various walks around Buttonwood Park Lats year, sort of through the seasons but missing winter, as seems in winter i become a hermit these days
When I prepared these shots for the post I though for a change I would do a post at Buttonwood Park without sharing a shot of the tree on the Island in the pond, well I messed that up as here in the first shot looking across the pond from by the Warming House there it is in the middle of the shot

next up from the other sid eof the pond looking across towards the Warmign hOuse, which is what most people call it as it used to be used as a place for people to warm up after ice skating ont ethe pond, now it is used byt he COuncil for the again and hosts events for the older folks, I'm not sure what they host, I have never looke dinto it, I guess that would be admitting to myself I am one of the older folks

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

How are you dear friend @tattoodjay

You do very well to stay active, even if it's just around the house, that's very good for the body

Beautiful shots, I would love to sit on the bench and enjoy the view

Excellent shots, I appreciate you sharing this experience

That first photo from the fall is amazing. I was talking to a doctor a while ago and they were telling me that 5000 steps is what you should be shooting for at a minimum each day. Apparently studies show that less than that can make a huge difference in your health over time. Not so great for me since I struggle to get that most days sitting behind my computer!

Thanks, yes I think I read the same article so I have setup on my watch my goal for each day is 5K, anything over that is a bonus, previous winters I put on weight and then had to work hard to get it off, so this year I am trying to keep it level over winter

That is smart. I am at the point where I put on some weight and I am needing to get it off. It's funny how quickly we can let things get out of hand sometimes!

Beautiful scenery. Though I have never lived in a home beside a lake, they seem like calm and peaceful places to live. In the first three images, your photos look like paintings, I mean, they look great! The first one is dreamy, and the third one has beautiful autumn leaves whose colors create a cool atmosphere. I would love to walk or sit in that place.

I have never lived by a lake either but probably safer than by the sea where strong stornms can come in and do damage

In some pictures I see a dreamy story, in others those autumnal colours that I love and then the birds brighten up the view with life in motion. Beautiful walk, thank you very much!

It sounds like you're doing a great job staying active even when you're cooped up indoors. Kudos for getting your steps in every day! Buttonwood Park is a beautiful spot, and I'm not surprised that it keeps drawing you back, even in your photos.

The way that tree sneaked into your shot is pretty funny. It's like it wanted to make sure it wasn't forgotten. It's always nice to have those photos to look back on and remind you of warmer days and relaxing walks.

Winter might make you feel like a hermit, but your dedication to staying active at home is impressive. Maybe when it warms up again, you can start capturing more seasonal shots of the park, including that infamous tree.

Keep up the great work with your indoor walking, @tattoodjay. It sounds like you have a pretty good system going.🚶‍♀️📸
