Wednesday Walk At Neds Point Mattapoisett MA

This post if for Wednesday walk challenge
Any questions about the challenge read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)

For this week I will share some shots from a recent walk at took at Neds Point in Mattapoisett MA

As is often the case for me i got there while it was still pretty dark, and I played around with my light painting gear for this first shot

I do have un doing the light painting, but will admit my lack of artistic skills do show out when I do these, I try to make cool patterns sometimes, but mostly fail but do get some cool funky patterns which I still like

as it got lighter i took shots of the lighthouse from different angles

I wasnt the only one taking photos, I was talking to a guy sitting in his car as I took this, he was flying a drone, and this car pulled in a lady got out and took a photo, with the long exposure she is the ghostly figure to the right of the car

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Perfect picture of morning atmosphere. Like a light house to guide ship, that is in Indonesia and old building usually. Thank you. Have a great day.

Excel proposes this helps us to see beyond, since sometimes we pass by places where you can take good photos

Oh wow, that last photo is cool. The one with the car is fun too with the long exposure. It's cool that you can fly drones in these areas. We have so many great places that would be fun to explore with a drone, but most of them it is illegal to fly them there.

Funny you talk about the legality of drones, I was considering getting one, but found most of the places I see people flying them here are no fly zones on the maps that show where you can fly, I Guess many ignore that but I wouldnt

Yeah, it's only illegal if you get caught I guess. I'd hate to spend a grand on a drone and have it get confiscated though!

With my hernia possible hernias playing up at the moment, and a lot of stomach cramping I havent been out with my camera for a few days kind of wish I had a drone but then again I havent left the house either s I cant be far from the bathroom

That lighthouse is very photogenic. I love the photo with your light show. It's also very neat how your camera caught the woman's ghostly prescence.

I think the sitting bench is facing the wrong way!

Beautiful place.

I think I've told you so many times that I'm fascinated by lighthouses, but I'll say it one more time... how beautiful! A walk near it, with different shades of light depending on the sun, those pink tones behind it, that's my favourite. Thank you, I love it!

A Wednesday walk in faraway places with lighthouses will be great! Your photographs are always so beautiful, they have your own particular style, thank you!

So funny the first shot with the light gear. On the right you can see a doves wings in the light! I do love lighthouses and they make awesome models for photography!

You're light painting skills are definitely improving, great job! There's just something so special about light houses, even it they are relics of the past. That's probably why I love seeing them to be honest!

I think the light patterns in the first photo turned out great! The beauty of abstract art is that there is no perfection, only shapes that convey feelings. They also decorate the base of the lighthouse very nicely.

All the photos turned out great, even the one of the ghost woman. :))
