Wednesday Walk around the port

Wednesday Walk around the port

This post if for Wednesday walk challenge
Any questions about the challenge read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)

Yet again I am having to share a walk that wasnt taken today or even this week or this month these shots are from back in Decemeber when we had a nicish day and I went for a walk around the port.
I have bene a slacker for gettign out for walks so far this year, the days where we have had nice enough temps for me to think of going out for a walk its either been gale force winds or raining and in many cases both, but i have been good this year so far gettign my steps in every day all be it inthe house every day this year so far I have done over 10K steps, probably more than I would have got if I had bene out for photo walks

But anyway lets get to the photos

As I have mentioned before its a very busy fishing port, and hence there are many commercial fishing boats to be seen

Some looking in greta shape which I guess means they have recently launched or had a solid maintenance and paint job done and some have bene worn down by the salty ocean water

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Good morning dear friend @tattoodjay

I'm very sorry that the weather doesn't help to go out for a walk, if it's very cold you're doing very well to stay at home

What a beautiful photo album you have, beautiful shots

Have a great day

It's pretty crazy to think how bustling and vibrant this port must be. People going out every now and then making a living on the water. There is something really primal feeling about it. Nice shots!

The harbour tours are always exciting, especially because I love boats. The last picture invites you to take a ride on them! Thank you very much for this walk!

I watch some fishing shows on TV occasionally, like Deadliest Catch, and those fellas work their tails off. It is dangerous work too. Nice photos JJ.

I have watched one episode and meant to watch more, but for sure working on those boats is hard work

I like that first picture, just seeing all those boats out there in the calm water. It must not be fishing season at the moment, plus I bet seas in winter out there might be a little hazardous. I respect those guys who can go out and fish, I would starve if I were a commercial fisherman!

I like fishing ports.
Even new and modern fishing boats have an appeal and something of the romance of the sea, notwithstanding the hard work of fishermen.
