the other pond in Buttonwood Park
the other pond in Buttonwood Park
Good Morning and have a great day
I have done a few posts about Buttonwood Park here in New Bedford, called by many the jewel of the city, its a pretty popular spot whenever I visit there I always see many people walking around it on the various paths, but not so many people go into this area I will share today, perhaps because especially if it has recently rained, the paths here can be pretty muddy, lunlike the paved walkways in most of the rest of the park.
I do ot know if this pond or area has a name i just call it the other pond and walk byI it pretty much anytime I visit there, well that is if I remember to waer my older shoes that I do not mind if they get dirty, which I tend to wear most times I go out for photo walks
Starting with this shot which was taken near the end of fall with the slight colors but mostly bare trees

As i said I pretty much stroll through here everytime i visit the park, but especially if I have brought one of my longer zoom lenses with me, as I often hear various birds as I walk through it, not that I have had much luck catching shots of birds here, mainly due to me being either to hyper or two impatient, both of which are a problem for photographing birds, one needs to be patient and stay still and quiet in one spot for a while.
Standing still is something I do not do well, I'm sure I drive my wife nuts even at home, we will be watching a TV show together, and I will often and randomly just get up, and she will ask where I am going, and I will just say OHh nowhere just stretching my legs do a loop around the house maybe tinker with something then come and sit back down.

I wonder why so few people walk by the other pond, even though it has such a beautiful view.
The reflection of the trees and sky on the water is absolutely stunning.
possibly because ofen it can be quite muddy there

What a beautiful place to walk and spend time close to nature—aptly named the jewel of the city!
Excellent shots!
Good day, Mr. @tattoodjay
What a beautiful place to visit. The pond is very striking; I can only imagine what it must be like to see it in spring.

Nice photos 👍 I like the ones with the bridge on the far side of the pond. Randomly getting up is very good for you lol you can set your smart watch to remind you to get up and move around 🙄
