Sublime and Beautiful Sunday a few flowers

This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.

Good Morning and have a great day, I hope your weekend is goign well

With the grey well and white and cold days of winter upon us I though some ni=ce colorful shots would go down well, these are a few shots of flowers taken in Haskell Gardens here in New Bedford

let me tell you a little about them
For over 30 years, lifelong New Bedford resident Allen C. Haskell cared for this property as a successful nursery. Haskell was so known for his horticultural talents that celebrities like Martha Stewart and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis were among his fans. After Haskell’s passing, The Trustees saved the property in 2012 to protect this unique urban garden from development.

Today, the Allen C. Haskell Public Gardens feature six acres of carefully designed gardens, greenhouses, and one of the oldest houses in New Bedford, all arranged around a wide green common space — perfect for a sunlit picnic or to explore with a camera. Pick up some bulbs, plants, and seeds at the visitor’s center, or learn a new gardening skill at one of the horticultural workshops Haskell Gardens hosts throughout the year.

NOw looking at the setting I used taking these photos my mind was clearly distracted by something else at the time, bbut they came out kind of OK.

I am looking forward to spring and getting new flower shots, I have bought a new light to try and use for flower shots, you may think Why did I buy it over winter when I won't be getting out to get shots of flowers, well because I have also used it a few times down in the basement trying some creative shots.

Starting with this shot which I edited with an oil painting kind of feel to it

NOt sure why, but I do love daffodils, perhaps my dad wh,o unlike me was a great gardener and was always so proud of both his vegetable and flower gardens, quite justifiable i must say his flower gardens always included daffodils and his vege garden did well and produced plenty of food for the family.

Good day, Mr. @tattoodjay

It's a shame the cold weather continues there. I hope the weather changes soon so you can go for a walk.

I'm passionate about nature; those flowers are beautiful.

Excellent photos!

You're dad sure had a green thumb! Those are beautiful flowers you caught over at Haskell, awesome pictures! Daffodils are very pretty, the one's I remember most from childhood were my mother's favorites, sunflowers and California poppies.

That first flower came out beautiful, what a great macro shot!

These vibrant flower shots are exactly what we need during these "grey and white" winter days! The colors are so refreshing and serve as a wonderful reminder that spring isn't too far away. Your Sony A7iv really captures the delicate textures of the petals.
