Sublime and Beautiful Sunday a few flowers

Sublime and Beautiful Sunday, a few flowers

This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.
Good Morning and I hope your weekend is going well

For the last couple of posts for these tags I have shared shots of animals at the Local Buttonwood Park zoo, so I thought I should share something different today, so I went with some flower shots, but funnily enough, still at the zoo

The Zoo is a nice little zoo with well-looked-after grounds and animals, and they have quite a few flowers around the grounds to support the pollinators

Now as those who follow me know I am not expert when it comes to flowers. I may be able to identify a rose or a pansy but from there on I use the fancy non-technical names like a cute reddish flower :)

But let me start with one i do think I know the name of I do believe it is an Iris and I love the colors of this one

NOw why do I think I know the name of this one, my Late father, who among be talented in many things, sports carpentry was also an amazing gardener, the first thing he would proudly show us around whenever we visited were his gardens, both the flower garden but also his vegetable patch. He did such an amazing job on both, alas although I would like to think I inherited some good traits from my father, gardening is not one of those.
As some would say he had a green thumb ie a talent for gardening, whereas as I have what I would call black and blue thumbs, ie a terrible gardener, and black and blue because I am also not a carpenter whenever I tried any carpentry work I would end up hitting my thumb or fingers and hence they would become black and blue :)

Good day, Mr. @tattoodjay

How wonderful to have a zoo nearby to visit and take beautiful photographs, in this case, of the lovely flowers.

It's good to know a little more about your father.

Excellent shots!

Hey nice shots!

Amazing to me the joy we can get when pausing to look a little closer at things like this I would normally just walk on by without paying attention to.

To learn something new and sound smart like @papilloncharity or @carrinm, I usually just put the pictures in google lens to see if I can get the name.

Good start to a sublime Sunday for me!

Haha just shit compared to real photographers but evidence how far phone cameras have come and the inspiration the real photographers give to us hacks.

What a joy to find so many different flowers! It makes your collection today not only sublime, but also beautiful and inspiring. You are a great photographer; these images even convey the fragrance of the flowers themselves through the details that can be appreciated.

I relate to your habit of sayign fancy technical names @tattoodjay whenever you dont know a flower's exact name. I do not only do it with flowers but almost all things I forget how to name or did not even know how to name. I am glad you were able to find flowers in the zoo despite the large animals and interesting features you saw. I guess you are a good observer which is very essential in photography. To observe little things around you that could make a great impact to people and you. Your father's story and character is so inspiring, he is multi-talented. He must be a good father and taught you things like gardening in your early years. But you forgot. Haha. It is okay you did not inherit that green thumb because I believe you still have his humanistic side. Nice photos of the flowers by the way. I dont even know one, even the Iris flower. But I know how to describe it. Just like you ❤️😅
