Sublime and Beautiful Sunday a few birds

This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.

Last couple of weeks for these tags I shared photos with fall colors so I thought I should do somethign different today and ended up deciding to go with a few shots of birds, these were taken back in last year in different seasons, as clearly its still witer here and no ducklings or gooslings around at the moment
Speakign of ducklings here is one I saw at Buttonwood park one day, they are so cute when young and fluffy like this arent they

Another young one, they are sure a lot cutuer and less agressive at this age, but I stay well away from them, for two reasons not to disturb them and the parent geese can get very aggressive and I do not want to rile one up and have it chase me lOL

This is a blue Heron also on the pond in Buttonwood Park, they clearly have a greta sense of hearing and knowing when someone is gettign close, whenever i see one sittign somewher eon the pond i try and get closer to get a good shot, but most times before I am close enough to get a shot with whichever lens I have one off it flies

WHen trying to catch birds in flight I go for a fats shutter speed, nornammly around 1/3200 of a second, but as this one took off i clearly just spun the dial up to a faster shiutter speed and tookt he shot, probably 1/3200 would have bene enough to freeze it in flight and wouldnt have had the iso go up so high, but even so I think its still on okay shot to share

Now for this next duck which I do not know what type of duck it is, I suspect I had bene trying to catch a bird in flight and hence had a fast shutter speed again, with it sittign still I did not need such a fast shutter speed

And to finish off a shot of an Egret this was taken on a walk out to Palmers island,

Those fluffy ducklings are just adorable, and that heron in flight is such a great capture.

Awesome pictures! I like the ducklings more than the geese. Those parents can be really mean! My favorite was the great blue heron shot, that was a great picture and I bet it wasn't easy to get!
