Mono Monday a few recent shots
Good Morning, another weekend has flown by I hope it was a good one for you, miner was fairly quiet, a bit of yard work a couple of photo walks and otherwise pottering around and relaxing
As I tend to do on a Mondays starting the week with a few mono shots, well a mix of mono and color splash
Starting with a shot looking out to the docks at Fleet Marina, a smaller marina on Popes Island

This next shot is from a morning walk on Popes Island, well I parked on Popes island but walked across this bridge you see inthe next photo so am in Fairhaven MA for this shot, the the red on the Dartmouth Fire rescue boat just caught my eye to much not to go all mono with this shot

And back again on Popes Island for this next shot this is looking ta some of the nice yachts in Popes Island Marina, the biggest marina on the island

Another shot with a splash of color again the reds caught my eye, this is the Cork Restaurant in Downtown New Bedford

Now this one I exported by accident with the others, and was going to delete it as I am not that happy with it, I was not very precise with the color splash, in regard to the grass that I missed and in some area the green is showing, but since i had exported it I thought why not add it
This is one of the art pieces down near the port

It is a beautiful place, I really like that everything is cloudy, but still the shots are beautiful.
Honestly, it costs me a lot to take good photos when everything is cloudy. I think I will have to study and practice more.
Nicely done, I really liked that fourth shot, the mono just brought out a feeling of going back in time. Nice play on the colors by the way, that last one was really creative, it livened up that sculpture perfectly!

Ah your eye for colour is fabulous - I love how you've worked them tonally and with splashes of red in the last photos. The blueish tone of the first one adds to the moodiness harbours sometimes possess.
