Mono Monday a few recent shots
Good Morning another weekend has flown by I hope it was a good one for you mine was nice, The highlight of our weekend was we attended a graduation party for our Grandson, he had fun which is the main thing, but for us it was good to catch up with a lot of family and friends which we had not seen for a while for a variety of reasons.
And its Monday again so for me that means I am sharing a few Mo
Starting down in the historic district in Downtown New Bedford, as usual I had parked by the port and crossed the road to this area, this view with the cobble stone streets, well Belgian block to be correct but I still think of them as cobblestones and the brick work buildings always catches my eye no shots, Last week I went with some perhaps overboard colors for the images, something i probably will not do to often, but I do feel there will be a few shots where ramping up the color may work well, but for this week I am going with more subtle colors again so many may think these are all Black and white images, but most of them do have some very subtle color tones to them.

and on another morning I was at Fort Taber Park and got this shot looking out over the pier

And from the Fort to the Port, a shot of the old ship the Ernestina Morrisey, I was out this morning and swung by the port, the Ernestina was not in the dock so must be out sailing somewhere

and to finish off, at the end of Gifford Street about to walk on the harbor walk but took this shot of the site building the towers for the Windmills

That first one is a beauty! Looking down the street of older buildings and the cobblestone street... It's like travelling back in time. The others are nice too, but that first one takes home the prize!
How wonderful! I've wanted to experiment with editing and participating in communities where work like this is highlighted, or in black and white, but it seems I'm a big fan of colors. Still, I admire those who do it like you and other friends here on Hive who really have a knack for playing with tones. Thank you for sharing, I was really impressed by this work.
