Mono Monday a few recent shots

Mono Monday a few recent shots

Good Morning, Another week begins and for me that means its time to share a few Mono images, these are all taken from recent walks, and i have to say the last few days have been good to get shots that will work well in mono as most days I have got out for morning walks, its been very cloudy and or foggy, and the sun when it rose hidden behind thick clouds so not much color at all, but it does make for potential for Mono edits, as well as good mornings to get steps in as I stop less to take photos

NOw I share each Monday Mono shots, and i must say I am enjoying doign Mono edits these days more than I used to, until I came across MonochromeMonday on here or a previous site I seldom ever thought about gettign photos that would work well for mono and seldom did Mono edits, they just didnt grab me, but now I find I am actually enjoy mono images for some scenes they work well.

Such is the Historic District in downtown near the port here in New Bedford any day but especially on a foggy moody morning as it was when I took this first shot.

I love the fourth one, void of all cars on a cobblestone street. It could have easily been the 1950's! Great pictures on all five, and I like the "flavor" of that first one too. Awesome job!

Thanks for the feedback, that street nearly always has a couple of cars on it, got lucky that morning to catch it with no cars

black and white makes it look a bit liminal and lucid dreaming like, i don't know why, kind of haunting

Interesting handling of light to convey a uniform atmosphere despite the diversity of the photographs!

I do my mono edits in photoshop mostly, its basically the same as B&W except with a shade other than black, that one is a slight sepia tone
