Mono Monday a few recent shots

Mono Monday a few recent shots at Haskell Gardens

Well the weather and my shoulder improved this week, so I was able to get out for a few walks and in a wya this post is a teaser for my Wednesday walk post, which is at the same place and perhaps some similar shots but in color, but being a monday I am sharing Mono shots today, well mostly and I will get to that later.

The first walk I took was a visit to the Haskell Gardens here in New Bedford.

A little bit about the gardens
The late Allen C. Haskell, a lifelong New Bedford resident and famed horticulturist, assembled these six acres—the site of a traditional New England-style common, beautiful historic gardens, and one of the oldest homes in the city—over more than 30 years. Today, it’s a public park and unlikely botanical respite, blooming in the heart of New Bedford.
It is supported by a Group called the Trustees who maintain many parks inthe area

I went there as I thought there would be some spring flowers and colors, but to be honets there wasnt much at all but still got some what I think are cool shots and the ones I am sharing today are from there

Starting in the field there, with all the rain we have had and temps climbing a little the grass is coming bakc nicely, not that it shows that well in MOno

Looking along the greenhouses , most of them were empty at the moment, but I am sure they will be addign things soon

and here is the shot that relates to where I said almost all MOno, this greenhouse was the most colorful thing in the gardens when I visited, and I decided to go with some selective coloring for this shot

the black and white green house though reminds me of 1960 while the third photo looks artistic which made it very unique.

The monochrome glasshouse with color on just the building itself blows me away. Thank you for sharing great art here.

All I can say is that it is beautiful; the landscapes and how you capture them are captivating. It's a blend of the new and the old. Kudos to you for the wonderful shots!

Being an older place the mono fits well, especially the house. The clouds help out the feel as well. The color windows were fun, amazing what software can do anymore...
