Funwhole friday the Ski Lodge

Opps I got muy days mizxed up of course today is Thursday :)

Good Morning, continuing my Friday series of sharing shots of Funwhole kits I have built.
I thought i would start with a short story of how I got back into building these brick kits

Our Grandson got a Lego set of a car and one Friday when he visited us as he does each week he brought the car with him and was building it.
as I was watching it It got me thinking how i used to love buildign things with Mecanno and lego when I was young and thought i would get a set and give it a try

Well the Big L brand is what I looked at first and was almost goign to order one and a lighting kit from another company for it, when I saw somewhere a review for a kit from a company called Funwhole ( yes a weird name I know LOL) so I did some research and found a group on facebook and even lego builders were very impressed with them, the kits are a lot more affordable and come with the lighting kits, so I decided to get one and give it a go.

Well I guess I got addicted and have been working through a few of their kits and love them, the quality is as far as I am concerned on a par with the big L, the details and lighting are amazing, and for me the builds are fun relaxing and also keep my hands and brain busy so I will probably keep going with them :) hopefully I will have less time each day to work on them when the weather is nice and my shoulder better getting out taking and then editing photos.

but incase I dont and to display some of the sets I dont have a spot for right now I am goign to set up some shelving in our basement in one area for them

This week I will talk about the Ski Lodge it is part of the retro house collection and has 2187 Pieces

Tried to get a bit creative with this first photo the snow covered tree snow inthe foreground and sky I added in photoshop.
Doign composites in photoshop is soemthign I rearely do with my photos I like to keep the scenes i catch on my outdoor walks as I see them, but was fun trying this image even though I knwo it looks so so fake

Wow, you really are going all out with these! I love how dedicated you are. The stories are great too. I think I also really enjoy the unique pieces that this brand has. The fire is really neat.

Excellent work and dedication... I've never had one of these games, much less known about the variety of opportunities to build something with your own hands...
I don't think it's a game for children, because it works as perfect occupational therapy. It's beautiful, including the lights and the slippers under the bed... will I be able to live there? It has everything... 😅

I do find themm both fun and therapuetic to do, very young kids would struggle to do them thats why soem of the sets they suggets 16 plus

You're right about what you say. Since I've never seen a kit like this, I imagine they come with a detailed image to guide us through the construction process... so it'll always be a challenge to the imagination to get it perfectly organized... kind of like a puzzle.

Enjoy it; it seems to me like a game that helps ward off some diseases affecting our nervous system.

That is so cool! It even comes with electric lights. I really like their eye for detail in the sets. Wow, much better than LEGO, I have to admit! I love the background you applied in that first picture, that looks amazing. I'm going to have to look at trying one of those out now, all the builds you've done are just so cool!

The editing on the first one is awesome, it brings it to life so it looks like one of those claymation worlds :)

I hope your shoulder is getting better, until then have fun building, it looks like fun!

Sjajan komplet sa mnoštvom detalja za one koji nikada ne odrastu. 🙂 Veverica i zeka nisu zaboravljeni. Toliko su simpatični da ne znam ko mi je draži.

Lepa zanimacija za dušu i telo. Strpljenje je ključna reč.

Hvala na priči koja budi sećanja i na fotografijama koje oživljavaju svet mašte, @tattoodjay. 🙂

Pozdrav i sve najbolje!
